    1. A good mystery for 3rd, 4th, 5th grade readers, depending on the reader The first daughter, Cammie, is getting used to life in the White House and the fact that her MOM is President of the United States Then there s her sister, their crazy dog named Hooligan, and the fact that her Dad stays in California during the week for his job So who is the First Lady to her Mom, the President Her Aunt Jen, mother of her dreaded cousin Nate And they all live in the White House together When things, importan [...]

    2. This was a cute chapter book mystery featuring a runaway dog, realistic school situations, and some interesting tidbits about life in the White House that kids will enjoy The only potential problem I see is that kids may give up on this one if they need something that will grab them right away you have to read a full third of the book before the main characters even know there s something mysterious going on.

    3. A cute mystery I will recommend this to some of my 5th graders who are at this reading level It was engaging and keeps your mind thinking about the solution to the mystery Also, I liked the nod to my friend, librarian Dustin Brackbill He really would have perked up when the White House announced refreshments and danced with Grandma.

    4. Ugh Every single position of power or responsibility is held by a woman including the president and every single male is presented as a bumbling idiot Unnecessary Storyline is okay very much a series book.

    5. Fun premise for a book the kids of the First Family daughters of the first female president, in fact enjoy solving mysteries It was a little bit blah, but a cute story that kept moving I think boys would be interested, but it is geared toward girls.

    6. 6 09 12First book read from BEA I liked the elements of mystery in this book and I enjoyed the characters I am wondering about the characters being in fifth grade Seems like this book might appeal to a bit younger age group I will look for the next in the series and decide then

    7. First in the First Kids Mystery series, this is a fun and revealing look at the possible life of kids living in the White House.
