    2. Roar Flagon the Fierce and Friendly Welsh Dragon see profile pic and other photos here with my second review I reviewed The Other Wind last time.Roar so Robert really likes Angie Sage he met her once but I ve gone off her a bit because of this book there s a Pesky Dragon in it Angie Sage calls it a Darke Dragon but it comes to the same thing We Dragons have enough bad press already, without contemporary authors adding to it with their books with Pesky Dragons in Roar At least there is a Non pesk [...]

    3. Can t wait can t wait can t wait Well I finised it, and I m disappointed Not that the story was disappointing It was typical Septimus Heap Septimus, now fourteen, must undergo his Darke Week, and what he wants to do is rescue accidentally Banished ghost, Alther Mella, from the Darke Halls But pretty soon, an old menace finally makes his move Merrin Merredith has beseiged the Castle with a Darke Domaine, trapping everyone in a giant pool of suffocating Darke Magyk Exciting and fast paced, Darke t [...]

    4. I m getting dangerously close to the end of this series and frankly, since I ve come to love and appreciate it, I wouldn t have minded if it had 15 books Sticking to a series can be hard but once you get over the hesitation it feels amazing to keep visiting the same world over and over again Provided the books are good, of course I would say that the sixth Septimus Heap book was darker than the rest, not only would it be a pun but it d also be true The whole Castle was at serious risk this time [...]

    6. Definitely the best Septimus Heap book in the series well I haven t read the last, but from the first 6 This book was so suspenseful and paced exactly right for me I liked the whole Dark Domain idea and it was so so so great Absolutely the crowning glory of the SH books Tastefully magykal, entertaining but never bad or inappropriate, this is great for 9 readers who like fantasy, dragons, magyk and lots of adventures

    7. Great book, though Angie Sage must have been a little scatter brained It seems as though, with all the minor plots she has made, she can t keep up with them Still, part of one of my favorite series.

    8. The book was good During the first half of the book, I was really annoyed by Jenna and Septimus behaviors I was so annoyed that I didn t want to read anything about them I actually wanted to read about Syrah and Beetle I am glad there was Beetle in this book and he had such a good ending Also, I would like Wolf Boy I am not sure what I think about the plot I meanI was interested in seeing what would happen, but I rolled my eyes than once Merrin was annoying as hell However, what was annoyin [...]

    9. I like this book, 6 in the Septimus Heap series I like Septimus Heap I like the crazy concoction of characters that inhabit the Castle and the the world surrounding it I like the intricacy of the plot and multiple steps required to solve the problem of the story, which in this book is a spreading fog of Darknesse spurred on by that trouble making apprentice of the deceased Dom Daniel I like how the characters evolve and change and new things happen to them. However, I think I might be growing sli [...]

    10. have been notified today, April 1, i am a winner of a copy of this title, YAY Wow rec d a store copy this week in addition to the advanced reading copy I am amazedarted reading this on my vacation Generally not an issue its book 6 and i never finished chapter 1 of book 1 Necessary knowledge from the previous books is woven into the story without disruption to the plot reminders for those who have read books 1 5 and info for those of us who haven t I am not finding myself attaching to any charact [...]

    11. I am now in the middle of Darke and it is just what the summary is about Alther Mella has been banished in the prologue Marcia makes a safety curtain and it has been broken I am now at chapter 38 and Septimus and Jenna decide to take Spit Fyre, Septimus dragon, up to the sky because it is the only place that is safe This book is intriguing and has action and excitement on every page Even though I have not finished the book yet, I would rate this book a 3 out of 5 stars because it is not my favor [...]

    12. Sixth in the Septimus Heap series for middle grade readers and revolving around Septimus Heap, the seventh son of a seventh son The primary focus is actually on Beetle followed by Septimus and then Simon. My TakeI absolutely adore how well Sage enters into a child s mindset with their attitude, thoughts, and behaviors I recognize myself as a child as well as the adult who s watching the kids mess up AND, to be fair, the kids are doing a pretty good job of life.It s really Beetle who s the hero in [...]

    13. Having read the first five books of the series earnestly, it was for quite some time that I have been waiting for Darke to come out.I wouldn t say that the long wait was a wasted effort though the book fell short of expectations At least in my case.In this volume, Merrin Meredith, apprentice to necromancer Domadaniel and now wearing his two faced ring has decided upon himself to setup a Darke Domaine in the castle and overcome even the Wizard Tower, with the help of his faithful THINGS This Dark [...]

    14. As Septimus and his sister, Princess Jenna, turn fourteen, all is not well in the city of The Castle Jenna discovers something Darke in the palace attic but no one will believe her Septimus is facing the most challenging week of his apprenticeship, when he has to establish a connection with Darknesse and try to rescue a ghost that his mentor accidentally banished to the Darke realm, and he s a bit preoccupied Simon Heap, trying to repent from turning Darke some years ago, is abruptly and unwilli [...]

    15. I got an advanced copy of this book the uncorrected proof in the mail and I thought that this book, Darke, was really, really good It was quite fast paced and it was action packed as well Some of the things that happened were things that I just were not expecting and I greatly enjoyed the twists that Sage put into the story However, the thing that bothered me most was the characters I just didn t like Jenna, throughout most of the book, with her view spoiler I don t want to be safe attitude and [...]

    16. Another good Septimus Heap book I read the last few hundred pages while waiting for Harry Potter, and it was a really good fit I liked how Merrin actually became a threat in this book, as he s been knocked down and dismissed in all the others It was nice that he had his time to shine, even if it was in a bad way I also liked seeing of Simon and seeing him and Septimus work together Also Marcellus and Marcia work together that was somewhat comical, considering how they feel about each other I fe [...]

    17. Absolutely love this series Anyone who misses the Harry Potter series will like this one, I promise This is probably my favorite book of the entire series It keeps you on the edge of your seat as the Darke the bad magic threatens to overtake the kingdom The Darke also tasks the strongest wizards, and for a while, the reader wonders who will come out unscathed spoiler not everyone makes it Dragons, magic rings, mysterious dark clouds, Things , ghosts the good kind , a reunited son and mother, a d [...]

    18. Wrote reviews for the first 5 books already, sigh I ve just been saying the same things Okay, basic rundown If you read the first 5 books and liked them, then why are you even reading reviews for this book and considering whether or not to read it Just pick it up and get going, the Septimus Heap series is awesome, book 6 wont disappoint you If you didn t like the first 5 books, wow I m impressed that you managed to slug through 5 books in a series that you didn t like Well, I do not encourage gi [...]

    19. For the last 5 years the newest book has come out just before my birthday so my husband knows just what to get me Funny thing is most years I forget all about it and then I am so excited for my book I get such a kick out of this series Each time I get a new book I reread all the books in the series before reading the newest one.The series has Harry Potter like elements with magic and wizards and a young male hero but is not so dark and a very different writing style There isn t really one big ev [...]

    20. This one had a slow start but once it picked up I didn t want to put it down It starts with Septimus stressing out about his upcoming darke week and therefore doesn t want to help Jenna with her problem in the palace and she asks Beetle for help who starts feeling like a second fiddle to Septimus Then a darke domaine takes over and our friends have to save the day but will they do it in time Exciting news for Beetle emerges and they figure out who wolf boy is I really enjoyed this one but like I [...]

    21. I loved this book I think this is the best out of all the Septimus Heap books so far This is a continuation of the story as it left of in Syren which I didn t care for Merrin Merridith is back with the two faced ring and has the whole castle under a DarkDomain Jenna and Septimus birthday is interrupted and chaos ensues Many of the characters do alot of growing up and families come together in unexptected ways.

    22. Another great book in the series by Angie Sage Septimus, along with his friends, has to overcome obstacles and face fears.I m a big book listener as opposed to a book reader That s how I started off on this series It was definitely different reading a Septimus book on my own, but it was worth it I d recommend this book to anyone who has enjoyed previous books in the series. Thanks for the giveaway Loved being one of the first to read your book

    23. I LOVE Angie Sage s writing I LOVE the Septimus Heap series This witty, clever writing keeps me turning page after page after page Long past the time I should be asleep Laugh out lound funny at some parts well, okay at all parts As it is meant for younger readers it was a very fast read for me, but I love all of them

    24. I won this book from Giveaways and am so happy that I won it I have all of the other books in the series I have to read some of the ones before this one but once I am done with them I will read this and review it Can t wait to get in depth with this series Thank you.

    25. Great series I love the characters even the bad guys are round and interesting It s a great middle reader that I d highly recommend for that 8 12 crowd, boys and girls alike Would also make a perfect read aloud to your kids Not nearly as creepy as Harry Potter Lots of dramatic irony that made me crazy from time to time Darke was my favorite every book got better in my opinion.

    26. My favourite book of the series Septimus learns to balance Magyk and Darke Jenna becomes a witch and finally grows up Beetle finds out where he really belongs Simon makes recompense Marcia and Marcellus accept each other Merrin finds both his potential and his doom.
