    1. This appears to be the final book in the Leonardo da Vinci mystery series I probably won t read the rest of this authors work The writing is fine, but nothing mind blowing, no special oomph that has me thinking I simply must track down all of her work Anyway, A Bolt from the Blue was, in my personal opinion the best of the books The writing came into it s stride and Dino found his place in the narrative It also has one of the better twists in the series along with a super feisty wash woman who I [...]

    2. A very pleasant and light read Leonardo has always been an interesting figure to me Rather fun to see him portrayed as a hero here.

    3. Several months ago, Diane A S Stuckart contacted me, and asked if I would read, and possibly review her new book, A Bolt from the Blue I said yes What she didn t know about me is that I prefer to read series in order, so I borrowed the first two in this series from the library, The Queen s Gambit and Portrait of a Lady, so that I could catch up with the characters For myself, I m glad I did, for the story arc and growth of the main character, but the books do not have to be read in order. This se [...]

    4. It really bugs me that I read the third book before the second But, aside from knowing what was in the second book, this one stood well on its own I am a sucker for historical mysteries Throw in a well known person from the past and I m lovin it It was a good read when you need that short book that is just a little different Dino is an apprentice to Leonardo da Vinci But, there is just one little problem Dino is actually Delfina, a girl Nonetheless, she remains a favorite apprentice of da Vinci [...]

    5. This is the third in the Leonardo da Vinci Mystery series, and is once again told from the perspective of the apprentice Dino Like the other two stories, the events of the story seem to center around some known work or interest of Leonardo s this time it is the flying machine. This story is intense in many ways than the first two Dino is still coping with the traumatic events from the end of the previous stories, and is plunged into another mystery by the murder of one of the other apprentices K [...]

    6. I really enjoyed this series and by the way things ended here, I m kind of worried that there won t be another one Stuckart had a way of bring Renaissance Italy to life and portrayed the great Leonardo da Vinci in such a way that anyone could relate to him The character of Dino Delfina was such a pleasure to read and watching her unfold as a character was very entertaining The only thing I didn t enjoy about this particular volume was that there was a storyline that wasn t quite resolved the was [...]

    7. Didn t know this was number 3but it didn t matter On a quest to find a renaissance book It was an interesting story of a young girl pretending to be a boy who is an apprentice to Leonard daVinci She helps him solve the mystery of who has murdered one of the apprentices and has stolen daVinci s flying machine It is so interesting to read about daVinci and his incredible artistic and scientific talents.

    8. Pleasantly uncomplicated reading Some of the situations and plot resolutions seem a bit too simplified, but that s part of the novel s charm, and it fits well with the viewpoint character Every story requires, to varying degrees, a willing suspension of disbelief If you have a background in aeronautics, this novel may require a bit than usual Apart from that, an enjoyable read.

    9. The books in this series need a good editor I was distracted by the writing the youths, repeated reference to particolored hose, etc , but I love the setting of Renaissance Milan and Da Vinci as sleuth There was less Leonardo in this book than in the first two, and the mystery doesn t get figured out so much as merely revealed.

    10. Perhaps because the main character was a young person, I sometimes felt that the story was written for young adults Yet the history related to Leonardo da Vinci was interesting and the plot kept moving I would read another in the series.

    11. This was a great read definitely the best in the series so far ends with a bit of a cliffie so I m wondering if it s the end of the road for this series Sigh This just makes me want to read about da Vinci, really to separate fact from fiction.

    12. I sure hope this isn t the end of the series I ve been waiting for this 3rd installment for a long time and read it in a day and a half Great fun

    13. This is a really fun book, it was easy to read and the story line was intriguing I would definitely read others by Stuckart.

    14. Un altra avventura per Leonardo e Delfina che, come gli altri 2 libri, mi ha coinvolta nello svolgimento dell azione.
