    2. Just Grace goes into food territory this week especially foods that are foreign She decides to research potato chips while others are checking out edible bugs and other delicacies She makes a new friend and grows in her empathy powers Still no real dog just Chip up.

I needed something light and fund Just Grace always fits the bill In her latest book, she and her classmates are doing a project on snacks in different countries She learns how to make a zine from her French neighbor with instructions for the reader and she might be warming up to another classmate, Owen 1 Grace s empathy powers are at work and her self awareness and plentiful drawings are totally endearing.

My nine year old read this and said Mom This is a great book You have to read it She was right Grace is a fourth grader She doesn t have much use for Owen 1 in her class He s very annoying, disruptive in class, mean and chews his pencils like a beaver Owen 1 makes classmate, Sunni, cry at lunch when he teases her about her strange lunch He gets in trouble and the principal suggests the teacher teach a foods of the world class The result is an amusing, cute read.

Oh how I love Just Grace she is just so adorable.In the latest installment, Harper gives us a mature Grace, who is starting to come into her own Her best friend Mimi has a secret her parents are adopting a little girl Grace spends the book trying to convince Mimi that she will make an excellent big sister If you have a little girl, Just Grace books must be on her shelf or checked out from the library She really is that adorable.

As Grace and her classmates study foods from other cultures, she has the opportunity to ponder such mysteries as whether Owen 1 is really bad or not, why she feels jealous when her father helps her best friend with her hot dog report, and how Augustine Dupre, her family s French boarder, can be so wise

    12. This is a great story for kids just starting chapter books It has a lot of humor, pictures and cool ideas It also has a lot of situations that will be familiar to kids Grace also shows that she is not perfect, just like everyone else.

I love these books They are easy to relate to, and are funny The writing is perfect for someone reading for pleasure Grace is smart, and loves to draw comics The illustrations are perfect for the story and the comics are funny This book is a great book read, and I will definitely re read it
