I m always a fan of historical romances that aren t about nobility Both hero and heroine were great, and the supporting cast was immensely entertaining I was pleasantly surprised by how non sitcom the heroine handled the reveal of the hero s deception and how well the resolution worked and made sense for the characters, excellent implementation of the whole what I thought I wanted wasn t what I actually want Looking forward to from Ferndale.

I thoroughly enjoyed this historical romance Ferndale gave the genre a fresh setting by making Jo a widow and a masseuse in the Canadian wilderness of the early twentieth century I liked both Jo and Owen, as well as most of the rest of the characters in Fraser Springs and it was fun to watch Jo and Owen discover and struggle with their feelings for one another Jo is a strong, independent character, and yet still mindful of society s expectations and, especially, being able to care for those aro [...]

    5. A well written romance with sympathetic characters and an unusual setting the Canadian province of British Columbia over a century ago I enjoyed it very much and look forward to the sequel.
