    1. This is the 7th book in the Protectors series and I was extremely excited when I found out that Sloane Kennedy was releasing this book a few days sooner Over the last year this author has become one of my favorite mm writers and her books are an absolute auto buy for me.Even though this book can be read as a stand alone, I would like to encourage everyone to read all her books in the right order Sloane Kennedy has published a few series, which she keeps adding to, and some characters cross over [...]

    2. 2 Stars It s no secret that this author likes to give her characters difficult backstories mainly abuse sexual, physical, mental but this book right here just takes things to a whole other level This is just too much and I felt it tipped the edge and fell into tragedy porn I mean one wordWHOA Ethan is running from his abusive ex boyfriend They were in a 4 year relationship where Ethan was abused in every way imaginable daily insults about Ethan s appearance to repeated rape After Ronan is clued [...]

    3. Warning I am 60% in This book needs strong trigger warnings It is a pretty violent book Here are the possible triggers thus far view spoiler Abuse physical, mental, sexual , stalking, rape and assault, murder of non supporting characters, filicide attempted actual , PTSD, abuse of power hide spoiler Revelationis book 7 in Sloane Kennedy s acclaimed Protectors Series Broken men who come together and form a family, redefining their futures, and eliminating scum from the earth All of the men in thi [...]

    4. There s a lot of pain in this book violence and triggers from abuse so it s not for everyone On saying that, this is the Protectors series and this is what these guys do the modern day Supermen Life was not easy for Ethan or Cain, but through a shared understanding of trauma they were able to connect and relate While it felt a little light on and almost rushed I still enjoyed the connection and the newest addition to the series These guys are Alpha hot

    5. 4 stars for another guilty pleasure This one can be read as a standalone.Ronan is anxious Ethan, one of his hospital co workers, hasn t shown up for 2 days and his place has been trashed, so he decides to send one of his men, Cain, to look for Ethan and figure out what s going on Cain finds a badly beaten man, with a very frightened teenage girl And despite his profound aversion of interaction and any kind of touching, Cain is deeply attracted to Ethan. All the known and famous ingredients of Slo [...]

    6. I liked this book better than some others I ve read in the series One reason is the slow buildup before they become physical At first Ethan doesn t trust Cain plus he s so beat up, it s not possible Cain has issues stemming from his childhood and has always thought of himself as straight I liked how that was handled, as far as how Cain just went with his feelings, only questioning why he didn t realize it before I am always surprised in these stories when sexual abuse doesn t affect someone s se [...]

    7. 3.5 A great addition to this addicting series This series has been a rollercoaster ride of hits and misses for me, but all have been addicting All of them are about broken men finding other broken men healing each other while finding their HEA Just like the books before it, this one was full of melodrama and two men with very violent pasts that still effect them in their present day Like the others the I love you and the sex comes much faster than I always believe it should But it bothered me i [...]

    8. A wonderful hurt comfort story that would have gotten 5 stars if not for one major pet peeve of mine view spoiler Sex a few weeks after a severe rape hide spoiler This book follows the standard Sloane Kennedy formula, and I can t ever seem to get enough of it.Cain is a 25 year old employee of Ronan s underground vigilante organization He is pretty scarred by events in his childhood, so he keeps to himself and doesn t like people touching him. When Ronan asks him to find someone who has disappeare [...]

    9. This was my favorite of the series so far I loved these guys After a hospital transporter ends up saving a patient by performing a procedure a transporter had no business handling, he disappears, and Ronan is concerned After doing some digging, he tasks his operative, Cain, to look into the disappearance and figure out what is going on with Ethan, who Ronan believes is hiding from someone other than the law.Ethan was hiding alright, from an abusive psycho who had abused him for over 4 years When [...]

    10. O M G I finished this book this afternoon after sitting for far too long and ignoring my children because I NEEDED to finish this book It s no secret that Ive loved all the books in this series so I went into this story with such high expectations Im always excited when I start a new book in a favourite seriesbut its also scary I always worry it won t live up to my expectationsbut I didn t need to worry this time The characters were divine Realistic and heart breaking, loving but tough They were [...]

    11. This one is another winner Loved Cain and Ethan and can t wait to read the next installment of this wonderful series.

    12. Overall book rating 4.5 Stars Audio book n a Book Cover 3 Stars MC1 Cain MC2 EthanThis was one emotional ride but being a Sloane Kennedy fan I should have expected it I don t even know what to say these guys went trough a lot of crap but even trough it all they were amazingly strong characters and I fell in love with them. This was another amazing story by the amazingly talented Sloan Kennedy

    13. Ah Cain, I could really really use one of you Loved this one Another brilliant book for this series, highly recommended

    14. Troubled heroes finding peace togetherThis is my first dip into Miss Kennedy s Protectors series and what a hook it provided The action in Revelation starts immediately and I was swept away with the brisk pace and intrigue the opening scene provided Cain s intense, troubled psyche is readily apparent, offering a brooding hero many readers will undoubtedly love Ethan had an equally memorable introduction to the reader, and I found myself pulling for both men as individuals before they were even t [...]

    15. You know how some book series get worse book by book This series is the complete opposite Here, Books 1 to Book 5 were oookaaay average BUT Book 6 and this Book 7 have been absolutely great for me.The best part of this book was the organic way the relationship between Cain and Ethan grew and how that steady growth enabled both men to start letting go of the past and also start learning to trust again I also loved how both men rediscovered how enjoyable intimacy could be when it s with the right [...]

    16. Another thoroughly enjoyable addition to the Protectors stableI don t know how Sloane Kennedy manages to keep up the enjoyment factor in all her Protectors series but she does. The basic premise follows a pattern, one of Ronan s men is given a job to either keep someone safe, or to take them out, but how that journey takes place is always a headrush of hot alpha men finding their true love or loves on occasion in a place where they didn t expect it.On route there will be denial, some conflict, ei [...]

    17. I ll be honest, this wasn t my favourite of the Series Don t get me wrong, it was good, very good but for me the other books were such of a high quality, that this one didn t quite make their grade All these books can be read as standalones and if I had read this one first, no doubt I would have given 5 but I didn t read this first I started at the beginning of the Series and worked my way through I would suggest that you do the same to really understand the characters and the dynamics of family [...]

    18. Have you ever stood at the bottom of a mountain and looked up, knowing the climb will be hard, knowing it will be brutal, knowing it will gut you, knowing it might even come close to breaking you but you do it anyway because you know the view from the top is worth it, you know that challenging yourself is part of living, you know that at the top is where the beauty and the reward is That s what it felt like when I started this book I could feel my frown, could feel my pain, could feel my heart b [...]

    19. In hindsight perhaps I should have waited to purchase and read this latest installment of the Protectors series maybe not wait but savour it But no, this series is my current romance genre crack I enjoy the formula, the action and the romance and so I didn t wait I read it all in one go while moving furniture and doing all the laundry.

    20. Slow your roll.Good story The attraction, followed by the sex was too quick considering both had a very traumatic past.Considering their very traumatic past s, and Ethan s injuries, the move toward sex of any kind was too fast.

    21. This was than a Revelation This was an eyeopener How she writes such heart wrenching, gut clawing, totally emotional, ugly cry perfection I will never know But Sloane Kennedy is one of my top ten, for real, best authors Like all Protectors book, be forewarned Warning triggers are in place that should be heeded Revelation started with a bang and ended with perfection There was no gaps or wondering left in the imagination As always, characters were explained with their own backstory, and they [...]

    22. There are few authors out there who can write broken, troubled men finding their happily ever after quite like Sloane Kennedy can Her men always have pasts that are horrific but they always overcome, no matter the obstacle It s this journey that s so appealing it s how they overcome that sucks a reader in and doesn t let go Sloane Kennedy definitely delivers this and in her newest addition to the Protector s series Revelation Though this is the seventh book in the series, Ethan and Cain are uni [...]

    23. Ok I love Sloane and all her books are amazing Revelation is excellent Cain and Ethan s stories are heart breaking We met Cain in the prior book and we didn t learn much about him except that he keeps to himself Now we learn why.Sloan s writing is compelling and you feel like you are living the story with her characters From the first chapter you will find yourself so engrossed in the story that you will not want to put the book down until you read the whole thing through This story has good guy [...]

    24. 3.75 stars I am a huge fan of Sloane Kennedy If you look back through her series, I rate her books a 4 5 star because she knows how to reel you in But for some reason Revelation seems rushed and underdeveloped I didn t get the same feels I normally do Healing from a very recent attack and years from abuse, and Ethan is already saying I love you within 2 weeks His emotional psychological traumas are healed right along with his physical ones I mean, I m no professional but I would think he would h [...]

    25. I ll admit I don t remember much about Cain from the previous books but that didn t affect my love of this story In this one Ronan sends Cain out to find one of his co workers that he s suspicious of who has disappeared to make sure he s okay That co worker is Ethan and he is definitely not okay He s hiding out in a cabin with his phycho ex boyfriend s stepdaughter He s been severely beaten and just trying to recover when Cain shows up and he feels he has to fight all over again Anywho, the stor [...]

    26. 4.5 stars from me Yes, it was full of melodrama but it was fairlybelievable melodrama My take on Cain He s a demisexual who appears to be Ethan centric, and after all the stuff both he and Ethan had suffered, they certainly deserved to find each other and happiness As far as Eric is concerned, well what goes around comes around, and I feel sure he ll get what he deserves in jail and not before time view spoiler Will we ever get to discover who Vincent really is hide spoiler Redemption is Phoenix [...]

    27. 5 Love this series, and this author It s very rare that I don t like something this author puts out and I just devoured this book As always there s lots of drama and intrigue, at the centre two scarred broken MCs Their pasts are dark and devastating which makes their journey towards one another and a future together all the better Loved them stars.

    28. sigh As always I loved it These men fit so perfectly that with each of her stories I can t wait to see how well the next couple will fit.
