    1. Rating 3.5I liked this book, the heroine was very feisty, she met the hero one night not knowing he was her boss and flirted with him and even made fun of the reclusive owner who takes security even a step further and when her confession about security gets another man s job on the line she goes to talk to the owner and finds out that the man she knows as Pierce is the owner. He tells her that he doesn t believe in love only recreational sex and asks her to come with him for the weekend in exchan [...]

    2. RE Darkness Into Light CM brings us her own version of the Howard Hughes Reclusive Billionaire trope and also the first actually stated HP Billionaire the wealth factor has been hinted at in earlier HP s but the H is usually only described as vastly wealthy CM flat out tells us this man is a billionaire and I am still trying to figure out if MB editors thought a billionaire was too outlandish in earlier times or stating the actual net worth of an HP H was considered vulgar I also found it intere [...]

    3. This was different The heroine was the hero s gardener but neither of them know it when they meet She is very frank and determined to be with him He is determined to have her but not of course to love her The first half is very amusing as she has his head spinning The back half is somber as you realize why he is the way he is But her tenacity pays off Interesting and different Enjoyable.

    4. I love Carole Mortimer books and this one is really good Of course it has a gutsy, independent heroine and a scarred, afraid to love hero, but it is refreshing to see that he has a real reason for his fear of falling in love again Some of the history and references in the book are a little dated but still a great read.

    5. different, refreshing one danny was funny and unbearably childish while pierce was ruthless life had been cruel to him and he lived like he had to protect himself i loved how they fell in love it was sweet danny offered pierce comfort and affection she was a generous and kind soul she actually licked his wounds and helped him get over his past.

    6. Different type of heroine and hero, June 12, 2011My thoughts I was so so on this book because I didn t really like the hero or heroine Just a personal preference I guess The heroine was just too straightforward and frank and seemingly strong than the other heroines I m used to Her occupation was as a gardener was also a little too much for me to take I can t believe that with her personality she just become a gardener Yeah, yeah, I know she came from a long pure line of gardeners I mean, nothing [...]
