    1. Bastion Saturn by C Chase Harwood is a sci fi book and a kindle scout book This book has nanotech that blends AI with the human brain, this is a common thing during the days of this book Space has been explored through our solar system The only place without AI is the wild west of Saturn s outposts This is where the story plays out Caleb, he is the new cop to the area It is mostly his story we follow I pictured it as a futuristic wild west I enjoyed it.

    2. Review of BASTION SATURN by C Chase HarwoodBASTION SATURN is hard science fiction, in the vein of Kim Stanley Robinson s Mars series, and of Neal Stephenson Thoroughly researched and very technical, BASTION SATURN is educational and exploratory, sometimes joyful, often tragic As 22nd century Earth has merged into nanotechnology and one overarching hive brain of AI Artificial Intelligence , the minority takes exception and escapes to other planets to colonize, for to remain an Earthling is to be [...]

    3. My interest in this novel was peaked when I read about it on the Kindle Scout page I voted for it and received a free copy when it won the contest for publication Having read Chase Harwood s Of Sudden Origin, I already knew the potential for a good read was there I wasn t wrong Bastion Saturn is about Wild West Cowboy Space Pirates and Evil Artificial Intelligence Well, not exactly, but the elements are there The action is pretty much non stop, which made it a page turner for me The background s [...]

    4. This book started off grabbing my attention with a tone of dread and mystery I could feel the terror in finding bodies of people who had been reprogrammed into commuting suicide by homicidal AI This book was easily accessible and not over the top sci fi The story, though, didn t seem to invest too much in this terror and the rest of the tale felt like a string of coincidences and random plot lines In the end, though, it came together neatly and was actually touching I recommend this book for any [...]

    5. A Good Sci fi TripThis book started off grabbing my attention with a tone of dread and mystery I could feel the terror in finding bodies of people who had been reprogrammed into commuting suicide by homicidal AI This book was easily accessible and not over the top sci fi The story, though, didn t seem to invest too much in this terror and the rest of the tale felt like a string of coincidences and random plot lines In the end, though, it came together neatly and was actually touching I recommend [...]

    6. I thoroughly enjoyed this book It s an entertaining ride, with some nice comedic elements thrown in, to the point of simple silliness It took a little while to get into the story, but once there, the action really doesn t stop it s very action oriented A lot happens in this AI vs last free peoples story, and there s even some decent science thrown in As crazy as this is, it s nearly believable It actually left me wanting a sequel, but I doubt there will be one, which is a pity I especially write [...]

    7. I found Bastion Saturn an easy read and very addicting story I am so far from being an expert in this confusing language of ours that I had to take a test in English to get into College but I was very comfortable reading this book I did ace the test as it was reading and comprehension of Huxley s Brave New world which I had read at 13 This novel is not of the depth of Huxley s novel but I am certainly happy I read it The book introduced nanobots, AI, gravity effects and other concepts I find int [...]

    8. What happens when you combine Peter Quill Guardians of the Galaxy with Malcolm Reynolds Firefly and send your new protagonist to the Barney Stinson School of Douchebaggery and Insecurity If you can accept this book s main protagonist for who he is an insecure ass who still manages to do the right thing and you enjoy funny sci fi that reads like a grittier version of your favorite prematurely cancelled space cowboy TV series you know the one , you ll enjoy the book This book can be painful to rea [...]

    9. This book was a fun and entertaining surprise After a slow start, with a long description of the book setting and character back stories, this book settled down nicely into a fun ride across the universe It s a bit comedic and corny at times All intentional, I think There s plenty of action and silliness to keep you gripped to you seat and laughing at the same time It also has a fantastic world building about Saturn and its moons The author has done quite a bit of research and woven it into the [...]

    10. Fun readInteresting plot and characters Caleb is a great main person Nice premise I d read a sequel None required, story ends well, but I could imagine seeing the characters face new challenges

    11. Ugh Had to put it down 1 4 through The main character is such an ass The crew splits, and he s thinking how Christmas came early because now there s two women with him and they have nice tits or asses Over it.

    12. Loved it Great space adventure A nice quick vacation read Similar in theme to Asimov The author did well developing the characters and their relationships without turning it into a trashy, space themed, romance novel I REALLY appreciate that.

    13. This book reminded me of why I love sc fi books Good story, creative descriptions of life in space, strange characters and total escape from reality although sc fi books from the past are about what s happening today Well written book which I was so glad I bought.

    14. GoodAn entertaining story, but could only give it three stars ,because of the sex or lack of.The book can easily stand without lust always being about.

    15. ReviewGood Space Opera ride Enjoyed it thoroughly, Can t wait to read his book Will hope it is just as surprising

    16. More like 3.5 A straight forward, entertaining space opera including a likable band of ragtag adventurers Nothing revolutionary but a solid story that kept me turning the pages I think it would make a good long airplane train ride book.

    17. 2 1 2 stars rounded up I did like the story a great deal but Caleb Day was hard to like He did grow up over the course of the story but he did make the first half hard work.

    18. Good Action Slightly SaltyI really enjoyed this The science was well done tastefully altered where full reality would be boring as hell Nice fast pacing The writing got out of the way.The only quibble I had was that some of the gender attitudes were a bit old fashioned Otherwise, a good novel.

    19. The story Bastion Saturn, by author C Chase Harwood, is a rollicking good read The story moves along well, with a generally good guy hero who accidentally winds up leading a small band of finders, some of who are running for their lives Human settlers have colonized the Saturn system of moons in the not so distant future These freedom seekers are escaping an Earth centered Artificial Intelligence takeover Trade is brisk between the various moon settlements as one group sells or barters the items [...]

    20. Saturn and its moons have become the last frontier for humans that don t want to become part of the AI hive mind on Earth But the AI doesn t like things that aren t part of it Now, a group of misfits are on the run from gangsters, corrupt cops, and killer robots. This book has a lot of good points The science is solid There are no ships zipping around blasting glowing lasers at each other Characters are well thought out and developed Character interactions are sharp and entertaining, The plot is [...]

    21. Good old fashioned science fictionThis story felt a little like The Expanse TV show where humans are being only human We as a race in the future continue to be primarily concerned about self first I liked how the author created the division within humanity and would like to see this continue into a series

    22. The first 3 4 chapters of this story compare favorably to The Martian Everything goes wrong repeatedly as the main character jumps from frying pan to fire to nuclear ground zero All of the story is very fast moving and would probably make a good movie The characters are well developed and their actions and dialog are believable mostly This is space opera with multiple locales, multiple good and bad encounters, and gigantic forces driving the action I enjoyed reading this I thought the ending was [...]

    23. Good book. This is a fun book, getting together a disparate group to fight an enemy that is coming I liked the concept and execution of the story, the characters were likeable Edit The punctuation and spelling has mostly been corrected which makes the story flow well I have added a star because of this.

    24. The swashbuckling adventure was enjoyable and the characters each had their interesting personalities The modest advance in technology at the time of the story was intriguing and reasonable Thoroughly enjoyable.

    25. Fun Space Opera This genre of science fiction is pretty amazing The science takes a back seat to the story and what you get is some pretty good storytelling This was a good example of that Perfect to curl up on a midwinter break.

    26. FriendsI love stories about friends and that s exactly wheat this story is about Add to that a birth awakening that will eventually leave you misty at its apex, when a robot becomes human than most humans and discovers a love that inspires a great sacrifice Well done

    27. Missing Bert already The book started off slow, but picked up the pace quickly enough I enjoyed the smuggling and piracy, and the foray into AI sentience My condolences to a brave Bert, you will be missed.

    28. Lots of action, lots of realistic albeit futuristic science some good characters I enjoyed spending time with them Highly recommend it.

    29. Imaginative story well writtenAlmost got to four stars but it does read as first of the series Clever story with interesting characters, worth a read
