    1. I adored Canticos Los Pollitos Canticos Little Chickies, Susie Jaramillo s previous bilingual picture book, and, while I didn t enjoy Canticos Elefantitos Little Elephants quite as much, I still loved Jaramillo s masterful illustrations of pachyderms astride silken spider s webs As and elephants climb aboard, the elephants get and uneasy until the inevitable tumble While the book builds counting skills, the story rhymes neither in English nor Spanish, which I thought a shame Still, with the [...]

    2. I received this copy free from the publisher Encantos Author Buzz NetGalley in exchange for an honest review Found this in my email from Netgalley and was instantly interested because of it being a bi lingual book and I was curious to see how much of the Spanish I might recognize too Since this was as an e book, of course I didn t receive the actual hard copy version, so my review is merely about the content and not the format In the description from the publisher, it is an accordion book with [...]

    3. Age 0 2Although small, this patterned concept book accomplishes much Its primary purpose is to introduce counting to five, but it offers considerably Excellent for bilingual learners, one side of the book presents English text and the other Spanish As a board book folded into an accordion, young hands will experience pulling it out to make it long, pushing it in to make it short, and turning the pages Each page adds one elephant balancing on a spider s web, and repeats two short, rhyming, rhyth [...]

    4. A funny nursery rhyme about silly elephants balancing on the delicate web of a spider It teaches the child to count to five with colorful, bold numbers It s written in both English and Spanish The format is accordion style you read through the full story in one language and then turn it around to read through it again in the other language The illustrations are playful and interactive There are tabs so that the child can make the elephant s heads sway.Little Elephants Elefantitos is a great way [...]

    5. I love the versatility of this book It serves as an adorable early pre reader book for English speaking, Spanish speaking, or bilingual families It has a very classic feel to it, like something you would have read as a small child, and are now sharing with the next generation I am hoping to see titles in this series.I received this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

    6. This is a short little book, but has great art and gives an adorable way for switching between bilingual stories I like that it would be easy to follow along with regardless of the child s dominant language I think that this book could easily be read concurrently to help students learn each others language I will be recommending this book for purchase for my school s library.

    7. I love that this is a bilingual book for kids, but I don t think the story makes much sense in either English or Spanish Plus, it s pretty redundant Kids already like to have the same story read over and over and I can see this becoming extremely grating on the reader after a few reads.

    8. I love any book that not only teaches you something, but does it in such a way you don t even realize you are learning I enjoyed this book very much.

    9. Cute story in both English and Spanish The repetitive rhyme makes it a good read aloud Does have movable pieces so the physical copy does not stand up to many readings.

    10. Adorable children s book with a great rhythm I m not so fluent in Spanish so I can t speak on the Spanish rhythm but am excited to have my husband try it out.

    11. Adorable way to review the numbers in Spanish with my students and also teach them to young students Brings back the Elephant Song memories I have from my childhood.

    12. Elefantitos is based on a counting rhyme in Spanish about little elephants The original rhyme in Spanish tells the story of 5 little elephants balancing on a spiderweb First one elephant, then another, and another climb out onto the web When the web finally snaps there is a big Uuuuupa with the break in the web centered over the large U at the beginning of the word and over the capital O in the English Ooooops The English version tells the same story, also in rhyme The illustrations are filled w [...]

    13. Canticos Elefantitos Little Elephants by Susie Jaramillo This a a cute little board book that could be used to help engage your child in counting to five with its simple and repetitive prose It also has the added bonus of having the same exact story on the opposite side in Spanish language Early exposure to different languages has been proven to encourage quick learning for our children I read both stories to my children, multiple times by their request Even though they didn t understand the Spa [...]

    14. Little ElephantsSusie JaramilloBilingual Picture bookReview This simple picture book is about elephant friends playing together Each page adds a new friend joining in the fun I love the simple repetitive story line that is easy to follow along with The artwork is simple but cute I like how the English is on one side of the book and then you flip it over and the Spanish is on the other side It makes it feel like you are reading two books in one I recommend this to parents who want a simple story [...]

    15. Second in the series, the first being chicks This one is about elephants balancing on a spider web, all of whom look surprised that they manage this feat The same verse repeats, the only change being the number of elephants on it, until you can probably guess the plot twist.16 pages in English, then 16 in Spanish.Much like the first one, and depending on the time of day, it ll either help your toddler to count and speak, or put the baby to sleep.

    16. This is the second book that I have read in this series and it was excellent I liked the images and the dual languages used is an excellent way to introduce young children to languages that they may not hear on a daily basis, as well as improving a second language for some Its a fun book, easy to read and follow and highly recommended.

    17. Canticos Elefantitos Little Elephants is a bilingual book by Susie Jaramillo In this fanciful picture book the concepts of counting and friendship are explored using rhyming and alliteration It is good for the younger set as a story time addition It would also be a good choice for those families with bilingual members as well as a way to introduce Spanish at an early age Good book.

    18. Very Cute I read an e copy via netgalley I am sure I would enjoy the board book much better. If given the chance to read it over and over, as most parents do with good children s books, I am sure I would pick up the language Probably far after my child learns.

    19. Supper cute book This book is both in English and Spanish so it was a really nice treat to be able to read it Great illustrations that went right along with the text.
