    1. Well, at first I thought the story would be a cliched one about girls in boarding school. In a way, I was right but it is not just that although, the usual bizarre characters plus some tendency of girl on girl action do show up at some point It is also a story about a genuinely kind hearted girl, with sometimes, exaggerated determination as high as a mountain A kind of character I always truly admire in any storyThis type of character could usually mean 2 things either it would make a very intere [...]

    2. I guess it just shows that I shouldn t judge a book based on its cover. When I first noticed this book Hayate X Cross Blade, Vol 1 , my initial impressions was that this was going to be the typical shonen teen powerup series, that we ve seen before ad nauseum Bleach, Naruto, Bayblade, etc Consider me surprised to find this to be one entertaining but highly hilarious series Although the premise is somewhat generic school wide competition for the best fighter , it s the characters themselves make t [...]

    3. This starts off kind of confusing and a bit hard to follow, but I feel like it got much better towards the end Even if some of the things don t seem to make much sense in the beginning, I was hooked by the end of the 3rd chapter The characters are pretty awesome, especially Ayana who is a total badass and damn hot too Also just all the chracters are chicks, it s gay and has swordfights, what s not to like.

    4. My current favorite manga slapstick comedy, well, written, good art Highly recommended Yuri used as a foil for comedy but doesn t feel homophobic.

    5. Strange school, swordfighting in the halls, genkiness as a superpower, tragic pasts that only be overcome by the power of genki, you know the drill.
