    1. This book kept me thoroughly entertained from start to finish Once started I was drawn into Derek s and Luke s band of friends and was invested in their fight for equality, against the worst kind of bigotry that a small town can throw at you The strength in this book for me was not the romance aspect so much but the friends, family and connections that Derek and Luke have and the characters Loved them all Derek is now together with his high school sweetheart Luke from the first book and they ar [...]

    2. A Joyfully Jay review 4.25 starsThe Fire Went Wild is the story of two people in love who have to battle old south family values, politicians who want to use them as their campaign platforms, and a couple of exes who are determined to get their old loves back at any cost I enjoyed the first book, but this one was quite a bit better Jordan Nasser stepped up his game He was able to write a seamless sequel, include real life issues about love and sexuality, and still give the reader insight into a [...]

    3. One of the best of 2016I enjoyed this book as much as the first one I was so glad the author tied up all the characters stories This author is one to watch i predict he will have a long and fruitful career.

    4. A whirlwind of a read and ride Begins where the other book leaves off, and though you don t have to get the first, you will kill yourself if you don t There are the growing pressures for a new guy dealing with his coming out fears, but he s in love And you get that, Luke loves Derek Both high school teachers, at the same high school Talk about pressure, and how much south than Tennessee All the characters mesh well and makes you think of a grown up version of Friends, except the key characters [...]

    5. The continuation of Derek and Luke s story, and it was great fun It certainly drew me in as much as the original. As well as their relationship developing, they have to fight lots of inequality and prejudice in their working life.Lots of plots and counter plots, and whilst not extreme the reactions are high level Uncle Barry is a highlight again Both families have lots of revelations they have to deal with.So just a slice a southern, mad life really Enjoyed it a lot
