    3. It s Stephanie Plum lite Extremely derivative.I m at 46% of this book and I can t continue which is not as bad as it might sound because the story ends at 89% and the remaining 11% is excerpts from another book This novel is a near parallel to the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich there s a wacky Italian family, her father is obsessed with funerals like Stephanie s grandmother , heroine Sally s a nice Italian girl whose husband cheated on her with the town skank, she loves baked goods cook [...]

    9. I received this book of my own free will, for an honest review. And it was so thrilling, I suspected everyone obviously not the ones responsible as always, I liked that it made you think and hard and it was pretty cool since it was pretty relaxed too at times and funny I loved Josie she was so sassy and poor Sal she was too good but was so hurt too, hopefully she will find her happily ever after at the end the narrator was pretty good she immersed me in the book and her voices were so accurate fo [...]

    10. I have been trying to figure out what the definition of a cozy mystery is and I have discovered that a good number of them share the same general plot and characters I am not sure but I think there are two common denominators the star of the mystery is a female and there is a gratuitous romance s inserted throughout the pages Incidentally, there is a high likelihood that at least one past old flame will appear to muddy the waters I haven t read a great deal of these and plan on reading fewer but [...]

    11. I liked this quirky little mystery book Fans of Stephanie Plum may find this enjoyable and a bit family familiar I will continue with the series if the price on comes down but only if it does.

    15. A big, fat, resounding nope, I managed to get through 21% and gave up As if it wasn t bad enough that the author managed to put down the Buffalo area by labeling it as, bitter cold for most of the year it s not but the whining got old very quickly Yeah, I get it, your husband cheated on you with the town bitch and you re a klutzy, chubby Italian girl that melts everyone s heart But reiterating that on every damn page makes for a crap book As if that wasn t bad enough, all of her friends and fami [...]

    26. This is my review of the audio version of the book as posted on Audible I have recently read or listened to quite a lot of books in the very popular genre of cozy mysteries, and Tastes Like Murder definitely belongs in the top group It has a few characters you get to like right from the start and a set of characters you dislike at first and then get to like It also has a villain or two, some of whom turn out not to be so villaineous, and there is a seemingly innocent guy who turns out not to be [...]

    29. Format Audiobook Winnie the Pooh could drink you under the table An enjoyable plot made irritating by one of the unintentionally silliest heroines this reader has encountered So accident prone, the question has to be posed does she suffer from some disability as yet unrecognised The lead protagonist Sally who, with her school and best friend Josie, has opened a cookie shop in her home town, is recently divorced Ten years before she had broken with her one true love boyfriend because she caught h [...]

    30. I actually give this a 3 1 2 star The problems I had were mostly that some of the characters were over the top for my taste Sal s best friend Josie berating customers not a way to keep business , the deliveryman man was slimy, no store would want that kind of representation An old flame who is highly jealous and want s to pick up where they left off years ago screams trouble to me A couple things she does that seemed stupid to me Her parents I just could not like As I said this is my taste and s [...]
