    1. She s writing another one When was this announced I m so happy I liked Cheyenne and Griffin so much, and that ending was not enough.

    2. Girl, Stolen was an amazing book and this one, Count All Her Bones was nearly as great The story picked up soon after the escape and rescue of our heroine, Cheyenne She is isolated at home, her dad and step mom fearful for her safety The petite blind girl who was lucky once She now has a bodyguard who trains her to protect herself but she takes that half heartedly She will soon realize that was a mistake Griffin is living in Chicago with an aunt uncle but misses something fierce He will soon see [...]

    3. I got to meet April Henry a few years ago, and I remember her talking about how she wasn t originally thinking she d do a sequel toGirl, Stolen Now that she has, it feels like a no brainer.OF COURSE her parents get her a body guard who trains her in self defense Of course there s a trial view spoiler I kind of loved that Griffin s literacy level is used as a clue in the story Those of us who are confident in our reading do not grasp how many people there are in the world who live with a lower re [...]

    4. This is another fantastic story from April Henry Her books are always INCREDIBLY popular with my students and this will be no exception Girl, Stolenwas one of my personal favorites from her, and this conclusion felt authentic and was a satisfying continuation of that story I highly recommend it Cheyenne is getting ready to testify in the trial against Ray, her kidnapper As the date gets closer, she feels and stifled by her parents and her keeper, a new bodyguard named Jaydra Hoping to meet up [...]

    5. Professional review, written for WASHYARG It has been six months since Griffin accidentally stole a car without realizing that a blind girl named Cheyenne was in the back Six months since the kidnapping ordeal that resulted in his father s arrest Roy is awaiting trial, and Griffin is supposed to testify against his own father Meanwhile, Cheyenne s father has gone full helicopter parent on her A bodyguard named Jaydra is with her everywhere she goes Cheyenne, however, can t Griffin out of her hea [...]

    6. Count all her bones by April Henry.I believe the theme is Although some bad things happen, they can always be turned into good, positive results I loved this book because the setting was current day Count all her bones is the sequel to Girl, stolen It is a thrilling, crime filled book about a 17 year old blind girl named Cheyenne who gets kidnapped and has to find a way to escape I love this novel because April Henry uses such descriptive words and details although the main character is blind an [...]

    7. Henry is a mystery writer for the reluctant reader I have passed plenty of books off of hers to unenthusiastic readers who then become fans While I didn t realize that this was a sequel it had enough meat to be understood without the additional context It s Cheyenne s issues being watched 24 7 now but wanting to see Griffin who has apparently reached out to her while the trial begins The fact that Cheyenne is blind does not make this an issue book instead it is a facet of Cheyenne like Griffin s [...]

    8. The only thing I hate about this book is the summary you read on the inside It totally gives the biggest part of the book away and the entire time I was waiting for that thing to happen and took away the suspense I gave this book 5 because I can t rate it 4.5 If you didn t have a connection with the first book and favor Griffen as much then this book wouldn t have a 5 star rating I waiting a very long time for this book After reading Girl, Stolen I looked up every thing I could about the Author [...]

    9. I enjoyed this novel but it was a bit too slow for my liking The elevated technology intrigued me and Cheyennes strong character controls the story Overall, I thought the characters made a somewhat slow story come to life.

    10. 4.5 5 starsI loved the first one and the second one was just as excellent I love that although this book was written 8 years after Girl, Stolen, it takes place just 6 months after A must read

    11. A very satisfying sequel I was amazed how much I remembered from Girl Stolen and I read it the year it was published April Henry is one of the best YA mystery writers and I wish there were like her as I think this genre is neglected way too much.

    12. This review has new character names, as well as a few key events weaved into it So, depending on how you view it ware of these minor major spoilers.I received an ARC of this thanks to a book event near me that provided them at no cost. This sequel for Girl, Stolen , occurs months after the first book and deals with Cheyenne preparing to go to court to testify against Roy for his wrongdoings, while Griffin has to deal with his mother s loss and soon funeral.Though the book provided the same, lovab [...]

    13. I read Girl Stolen a couple years ago and didn t really care for Cheyenne I thought even less of her in the sequel She said stupid things and did even stupider things than she said.I have had it with characters who refuse to follow rules for their own good I say let them all go out and get what is coming to them Cheyenne s utter recklessness nearly made this a 1 star read What kind of person would intentionally start a fire in their home so they could sneak out I don t care what the reason was, [...]

    14. She touched the chest It was definitely a man, the chest muscled and flat Blood sticky beneath her fingers Her index finger slipped into a small hole With a cry she pulled it out Whoever it was, he had been shot to death The first hundred pages of this book had no pressure or anything No anxiety welled up in my chest, but I still like it It was written amazingly But once the first hundred pages past and shit went down I was chewing my fingernails to stubbs This book is the Sequel to Girl Stolen [...]

    15. Middle grade and teen readers have come to trust that a book written by April Henry will keep them on the edge of their toes and keep them guessing about what s coming on the next page In this one, a follow up to her terrific Girl, Stolen, she returns to the same characters that populated that earlier title Cheyenne Wilder, the daughter of a wealthy Nike executive, is healing from the accidental kidnapping that almost resulted in her death As the prosecutors prepare for the case against Roy Sawy [...]

    16. My students at Abington Sr Hi loved April Henry mysteries Now that I am retired, I continue to read and love her books and this 2nd in the series was such an addicting psychological thriller, I could not put it down, devoured it in one day Cheyenne was blinded from a very sharp impact to her skull, and after being found in the car that was carjacked by Griffin Sawyer, Cheyenne s life since then has been one of a bodyguard also martial arts instructor, no friends, home and school until the trial [...]

    17. It has been six months since Cheyenne had been kidnapped during a car theft gone wrong One of her captor s helped her escape and now his father is awaiting his trial While they are waiting to testify against Roy, Cheyenne and Griffin reconnect on Facebook and make arrangements to meet Unfortunately, their plan doesn t go well and Cheyenne is kidnapped again by Roy s men Do they just want money or do they want Cheyenne dead Can she escape Was Griffin working for his father or was he duped along w [...]

    18. Cheyenne and Griffin are going to testify in court against Roy in a few weeks They are finally back in the same town and the connection they formed during her kidnapping makes them open to connecting with each other Cheyenne and Griffin begin exchanging messages on Facebook and make plans to meet, but when Cheyenne shows up, something isn t right Armed with better self defense skills, Cheyenne may have to use her instincts to get out of another difficult situation Readers who enjoyed the first n [...]

    19. Nooooooo I accidentally read the second book before I read the first Luckily, Count All Her Bones recapped everything that happened in Girl, Stolen well.Unluckily, I thought this was a standalone book that was going to tell the story through flashbacks.I was wrong By the time I figured that out, it was too late I knew everything that happened in the first book Oh, the horror In spite of having not read the first book, I still saw the twist coming way early Also, I thought that spoiler alert the [...]

    20. I received an ARC in return for a fair review. This second installment to Girl, Stolen takes place just months after the first one ends Cheyenne has tried to return to normal life, though her father and step mother feel that she needs extra protection and won t let her go anywhere without them or a bodyguard It s almost time to testify against Roy, and she s hoping things will calm down after That is, until she changes her mind about talking to Griffin.Unfortunately, things don t go as planned, a [...]

    21. Six months earlier, Griffin Sawyer thought he was just stealing a car How did everything get so messed up, so quickly Bringing Cheyenne home after finding her asleep in the backseat set in motion a dangerous situation with his father Captured and on trial for kidnapping, Griffin s dad is consumed with anger over his impending incarceration When Cheyenne ends up in terrible danger on the eve of the trial, will she be able to count of Griffin for help Will her blindness allow her to adapt to her s [...]

    22. I really liked Girl Stolen, and Count All her Bones was good, but I didn t feel as compelled to continue reading it in one sitting like I did with the first book Even after being kidnapped Cheyenne was still acting like nothing would happen to her if she ventured out on her own even with all the warning signs Griffin on the other hand knew bad things could happen, but was still taken off guard at his mother s memorial service Sorry if this is a spoiler for some of you There are some things the a [...]

    23. 4.5 Stars A small amount of adrenaline can help you Too much prepares you to die In my review of Girl, Stolen, I mentioned that April Henry was becoming one of my favorite authors And now, she has I will read ANYTHING this woman writes Count All Her Bones was everything I wanted it to be suspenseful, emotional, and downright bloody It was all these things and I have to admit, I was expecting this to suffer from the second book blues But it was clear April Henry knew exactly what she was doing w [...]

    24. Wow it took me the same amount of time to read this as Girl Stolen Which means its just as good April Henry really did a lot of homework for this book from voice computers to self driving cars Count All Her Bones has a lot high paced action than it s predecessor gun fights, martial arts combat, jail breaks you name it We get a new character in Jaydra who is hired to be Chyanne s bodyguard and is a total badass Also we get a further in depth look at Cheyenne s family My only complaint is that Ch [...]

    25. Clearly I am not the target audience for this one I didn t read the first one, but it wasn t all that necessary to pick up the thread I normally like a good thriller, but Cheyenne just got so annoying after a while To me, it was a great demonstration of how we should never underestimate the power of the poorly formed teenage brain to make bad decisions and become ruled by emotion. Some of the characters just were not all that well done The romance was just silly And I really, really hate authors [...]

    26. If you though girl stolen was good you aren t even ready for how amazing this book is It takes you on the wild continuation of cheyenne and griffins semi love story I love how in the book it references the title when cheyannes thinks she is going to die I love that you get to learn so much about Griffins past and how he felt about his father I wish that the book could have been written in Roy s perspective too, but it is so amazing it doesn t even need to be I also like that you could understan [...]
