    1. What a wonderful surprise This book has everything I m looking for in a book a strong, consistent plot, a creepy murderer s , an interesting hero and heroine, slight paranormal element, true love What would I want But what I liked the best is the behaviour of both John and Celeste Celeste accepts her gift and knows very well what it is but don t know how to control it and is not afraid of admitting it and asking for help She s conscious that she is in danger and that she, with her untrained gif [...]

    2. I won this book in a giveaway a while ago Kristine also sent me a gnome You ll learn his significance further into my review He sits in my front garden protecting my home He s been joined by several others and I suspect I ll be seeing Knowing how much I enjoy this genre and upon some trusted recommendations, I went ahead and grabbed the three book boxed set before I even began reading Shadow Of Danger I m now into the second book, Shadow Of Perception, which introduces some new character s whil [...]

    3. Really couldn t finish this book It started out great with a good premise Murders happening and psychic is having visions of it A non believer gets assigned to the case and they are forced to work together The first two chapters were great then in chapter 3, the two characters meet and then every other paragraph was about them wanting to have sex and the main storyline gets pushed into the background By chapter 7, I felt like a third wheel wanting to tell them to just get on with it so we can ge [...]

    4. This had too much sex and not enough murder mystery for me and I could see by a lot of other reviews that I wasn t alone I read all that sort of stuff a la Jacqueline Susann, Jackie Collins and Harold Robbins back in the day but grew out of them in the 80s.It started with great promise but as soon as Celeste encountered John she turned into a dumb sex obsessed idiot She d been a likeable character till then. She lost the here I remind you all time but that was the only mistake I spotted which was [...]

    5. A LITTLE REPETATIVE AT TIMES BUT A GOOD SOLID STORYLINE THIS IS NOT FOR THE SQUIMISH OR FAINT O HEART SO MANY RED HERRINGS IT WAS HARD TO FIGURE OUT JUST WHO WAS DOING WHAT I THINK IT WAS A LITTLE TOO LONG IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER READ IF IT HAD BEEN SHORTER BUT THE SEX SCENES WERE OFF THE FREAKING HOOK OMG AFTER THE ONE SCENE I LL NEVER LOOK AT CRANBERRIES QUITE THE SAME EVER D

    6. 2.5I just couldn t get into the book I couldn t relate or sympathize with the characters I don t know if it s the writing style that couldn t keep my attention I like the premise and did decide to finish it but it was a bit meh for me all in all

    7. There s nothing like a good suspense thriller to get the old endorphins pumping and Kristine delivers I read this some time ago and recently realized I d not written a review I reread this in one night and it s just as exciting the second time around.Celeste Risinski is a clairvoyant It s not something she wants It just is She d be perfectly happy to skip the horrific visions and nightmares that jolt her, screaming, from her sleep. She senses something different about these dreams A deeper, pers [...]

    8. This author can certainly write sick twisted killers In this introduction to the series a local sheriff calls Ian Scott who runs CORE, an agency who tracks down killers that elude the police when the bodies of 4 women are found For years two depraved men have been murdering women Sometimes together and sometimes on their own When one decides to dump the bodies of his latest victims almost in plain site their secret killing spree is now brought out into the open Celeste Risinski is clairvoyant an [...]

    9. I started on this book and after a few chapters I chucked it I don t like books that have a lot of obscene words in them There are too many good mystery books out there that don t contain these words and they are excellent thrillers I m thinking of Harlan Coben for example.

    10. Dnf This book sounded so promising But unfortunately the main focus was on the two leads just constantly wanting to have sex with each other as soon as they met I m fine with sex sexual tension in books but this was so cliched and not well written that I couldn t get past it I need substance.

    11. I won a signed copy of this book during an online giveaway I am under no obligation to leave a review or rating and do so voluntarily So that others may also enjoy this book, I am paying it forward by donating it a local library.

    12. Really great read I love a good murder mystery mixed with new love and a psychic who had visions Lots of twists and turns with two horrible murderers to be caught

    13. She awoke, fighting for her life and tears running down her face She knew the woman was dead This was not the first time she had felt the evil perpetrated on another as if it were happening to her It wouldn t be the last either.Four nights and four nightmares Would it ever end Roy had four dead women on his hands and needed help He put in a call to Ian, the head of CORE Ian knew John Cain was the man for the job and sent him to Wissota Falls.Celeste had come home to Wissota Falls to take care of [...]

    14. An ok story You really had to be kind of thick skinned to listen to what these serial did for their sick pleasure Also, you have to NOT be bothered by swearing The F BOMB was let lose 83 times, which doesn t bother me but I know you puritans can t abide it.I did find myself skimming pages now and then, since 414 pages are a little much It was like the author was looking to add and stuff just to make the book longer Like the part with Ian and Celeste relationship It was MADE part of the book wh [...]

    15. I was intrigued by the synopsis of this book, but I have to be honest the content of the murders isn t a subject matter that I would normally read, and it s quite graphic from the first page However, despite that I thoroughly enjoyed it It s certainly not a book for the faint hearted, the murders are described in graphic detail, and the thoughts and feelings of the murderers as they commit the acts are nothing short of grotesque Through Celeste we feel the terror and final moments of the victims [...]

    16. Celeste is a psychic who sees too much and what she sees, might just get her in trouble Four women have died in the local area and Celeste has had visions of their deaths The local sheriff believes her but John who belongs to a private investigative company who has been called in to help, does not He wants hard evidence and facts He refuses to believe her at least until the evidence starts showing that there may be something to what she is seeing and saying There is an instant attraction between [...]

    17. A compelling, dark, violent, romantic suspense page turner.WARNING From the first pages of the prologue, occurring 12yrs earlier, there is pure evil, violence, rape and murder. In the present day the same theme continues with psychic, Celeste Risinki, having violent images visions in her nightmares Writing down her premonitions after becoming the victims in her sleep, she reports to her surrogate uncle friend the sheriff In turn, he then relays everything to the founder of C.O.Rriminal Observance [...]

    18. This book has everything Great characters, evil killers, psychic visions, romance, surprises Celeste is living her life for others After her mom died and her dad left her to run the Diner, she gave up her life to help out her family Suddenly the shell of her safe, yet unfulfilling world starts to crash in on her, one nightmare at a time But are the nightmares psychic visions or just the horrific imaginings her mind has created As dead women start showing up, the police chief, a good ole boy with [...]

    20. 4.5 stars Oh, wow I did not expect this. Before I started this book, it did not seem like much It sat on my maybe shelve for a while.I m so fucking glad I finally started it It was so much than what I expected Shadow of Dangeris a book full of mystery, action, violence and crude reality It s really horrible that there are these type of people out there Serial killers, rapists and such, and not all of them are caught. This book presents all those horrifying aspects of life but at the same time sho [...]

    21. I was generously provided a copy of this book by the author and Goddess Fish promotions in exchange for an honest review My interest was caught immediately by the description It looked extremely interesting, the kind of book that just hooks you and makes you want to finish it in just one night It far surpassed my expectations I just got finished reading it, and quite frankly had to immediately post a review From the very beginning, the very first page, this author ropes you in and you love every [...]

    23. There are just some books that get you from the very first page, and ,Shadow of Danger was exactly this type of book John Kain, former FBI criminalist and now a CORE agent a specialized PI firm is sent to Wissota Falls following the discovery of four dead prostitutes He is ordered from his boss to follow the towns Sheriff s commands at all cost despite his initial hesitation and disbelief of using the towns psychic He initially doesn t believe but within a few days his whole world is turned upsi [...]

    24. This book is not for the faint of heart regarding graphic serial killer material but combined with the thriller aspect of the storyline, made for suspenseful reading The book would have been 4 stars but for the authors failure to write romance believably and succinctly Making this book 25% longer than it needed to be was the repetitive character introspection regarding a budding romance relationship The author kind of beats a dead horse here As for characters in a new relationship believability [...]

    25. My good friend loaned me this book and before I got to it, it became free on I quickly downloaded it.This was right up my alley I enjoyed the PNR aspect in it too.Celeste had dreamsal life nightmares for the victims She sometimes worked with the local sherif, she had a reputation for being the real deal.John is sent in by CORE to investigate the brutal murders He has no time or belief in the would be psychic Not until she goes into a trance and lives the last moments of a victim does he begin to [...]

    26. I was in the mood for a change and was reminded of this series from one of the other books coming up for special price and I already had the first one I am glad that I chose to read it The characters seemed to leep from the page right from the beginning and grow as you got to know them There were times you wanted to smack them up side the head to get with the program for the personal sideAs for the thriller aspect This was one that was different for me as hearing from killer and hearing from th [...]

    27. Highly Recommended This book had me hooked from the first paragraph of the prologue Admittedly it made uncomfortable reading but it was necessary for the storyline as I quickly discovered I couldn t turn the pages quick enough and interruptions such as eating, sleeping and working frustrated me always the sign of a good book I felt immersed into the story from the get go A couple of things grated on me such as the frequent use of the term crutch used by every character and also the phrase I coul [...]
