    1. This is a laugh out loud romp as we follow Cupid s downfall and his attempt to win back his place in Olympus The characters are so vividly presented that you ll be rooting for them immediately Even Cupid with an ego that works overtime may find a special place in your heart You don t have to know a lot about mythology to enjoy this tale The tag line says it all, Life s good at the top until you re not Cupid learns this and much as he teams up with misfit fallen angels to save the world.

    2. Absolutely amazing I love mythology stories and Acevedo hit it on the mark I enjoyed her writing style and look forward to stories about Cupid and the Roman pantheon.

    3. I would give this three and a half stars if I could A great first novel by S Acevedo, God Awful Loser tells the tale of Cupid Cupid has fallen from grace, has been banished from Olympus, and is about to be replaced by a new love angel Cupid meets up with a band of fallen angels and has to earn their trust to help him win back his spot as the god of love, while uncovering a plot to overthrow Olympus Many characters from Roman mythology appear along the way The story is set in modern times and bou [...]

    4. Acevedo is an author from Wisconsin with a new twist on the young adult genre of fantasy involving classic gods This story of the god of love appears to be a labor of love for Acevedo Written with the intended audience of young people, the story is gritty while still being wholesome Cupid s power of love appears to be a weak weapon when he must go up against other gods, but like all great heroes, he is up against insurmountable odds.

    5. Cupid goes off the straight and arrow Lots of humor as readers watch Cupid fall from grace and as he tries to regain his position as the matchmaker of love Lots of mythology I wouldn t hesitate to give this to strong readers in 6th grade and up who read YA.Redemption is a key theme as well as respect for women and relationships.A wonderful story with lots of humor Perfect for those who love Greek mythology Love Congrats, Silvia

    6. Let me first say thank you to the author and her husband I teach at a school in south Louisiana that was destroyed by the August 2016 flood This book and its sequel were donated by the author and her husband for the school s library The generosity of both of them is something that should not go unnoticed Now the book I thought it was ok My biggest issue was the writing style It just was not something that I could get into I typically really enjoy books like this and I thought the concept was ama [...]

    7. My love for mythology made me pick this book up and I had been waiting to read it for a while I was not disappointed either I enjoyed it immensely At first I thought the subject matter too mature for young readers but it softened up shortly into it and the real story came to light The phenomenal last few chapters were my favorites so sit back, soak it all in and enjoy.Written by Silvia Acevedo illustrated by Jeff Miracola and published by Three Points Publishing YA
