I read a lot of picture books that are okay This one is excellent The pictures are quite cute and funny with comic book style word balloons that bring the characters to life Mama always takes care of her babies, but one day is sick It happens She hopes the babies will return the favor and help a sick Mama out But each baby has their own reason why they can t help Too lazy, too smart, too sweet Their is an important moral to this story and it will entertain children and grown ups alike.

Julie and Her Seven Calves is an entertaining little story for young children Children will enjoy hearing about each calf and why they can t help their mother get food for their dinner Each calf has its own agenda and seeks to avoid doing the task.The ending is cute and it shows how mothers really know best how to handle any situation Another lovely little book by talented award winning author, Mary Ann Vitale, that will keep children engaged.

I was given this book for an honest review I found it too adorable for words It was sweet and surprised me with the rhymes The author created a special loving relationship between a mother cow and her seven calves The illustrations were so unique This is one author whose books I will be buying for my grandkids enjoyment Young children will love it Gave it 5 stars.
