    1. To be continued That s how the book ends What Groan Moan Sigh Sputter These three words to be continued have to be my absolutely least favorite three words in the entire series Now they wouldn t be so painful if the next book in this series featuring the wonderful and endearingly unforgettable Incorrigibles had already been published and I could run out and fetch it Alas I must wait And wait And wait some because the next book is not even published I ve survived one fitful night of restless sle [...]

    2. This is much like it Instead of being strung along, this book, even than the previous one, is full of answers There are still a few mysteries, and of course the question of how to break the curse, but I m feeling much better at the number of things we know versus the number of things we don t know I m glad that I waited until this year to read book five, though, because there s quite a cliffhanger at the end of the book That took me by surprise, too, because previous books have always solved t [...]

    3. I absolutely could not resist Katherine Kellgren s narration and so immediately listened to the audiobook of The Unmapped Sea by Maryrose Wood, the next in the saga of Penelope Lumley and the children raised by wolves who now live at Ashton Place Read the rest of my review here

    4. To do something familiar and succeed is no surprise, but to try something new and fail why, that is the start of an adventure Finally the pieces are all starting to come together When pregnant dear lord Lady Constance s doctor recommends a trip to the sea, the entire household is off to Brighton in the off season There they meet the mostly awful Babushkinov family, try to convince Lady Constance that she s actually going to Italy, and encounter evil Edward Ashton AKA Judge Quinzy again Penelope [...]

    5. Some questions get answered and new questions pop up but once again we get another wonderful installment of The Incorrigibles I have to admit I got a little teary at the end and now I will be waiting very impatiently for 6 which I believe is the final book

    6. I m glad this volume brings the mystery closer to a resolution, yet overall it didn t grab me quite as much Perhaps it was the addition of several loud and histrionic characters whose presence made the audio performance equally loud and histrionic The funny faux genteel tone is still there, but it s starting to crumble under the weight of plot. That said, I care enough about the characters and enjoy Kellgren s performances enough that I will definitely listen to the rest this series.

    7. I ve loved this series Book 5 finally starts to answer some questions although it raises a few I m excited for book 6 to come out later this year.

    8. Finally some answers Some things I had guessed, one I had not I still love the Incorrigibles and want to adopt them, Nutsawoo and all Can t believe I have to wait for the final book to be published though Whatever will I do awhoo

    9. At first, I thought or rather hoped this book would be the final book of the series, but as it turned out, it wasn t Originally, I felt I was satisfied and finished with the series, but after finishing this book I didn t want it to be over just yet A new shocking ending got me curious what will happened The curse was still there The rest of mystery had finally been told, which made this book a favorite out of five books So many shocking twist coming out of this novel New family showed up making [...]

    10. I wasn t all that excited to come across this I read the first four in close proximity a little while back and it seemed like, oh, I have to read that I ve gone off children s books a bit lately in favor of YA it s really quite lemony snicketesque it s a long series with an ongoing mystery villain quite a bit was revealed in this one I almost thought maybe it would be the series finale you can see the shape of the happy ending quite easily it s just a matter of getting there through the sudden r [...]

    11. Probably one of my favorite series, this 5th installment does not disappoint I love Kellgren s narration of the audiobooks and will continue to read these by listening The Ashton s are traveling and taking the household with them With a baby on the way, the fresh cold air will do Constance some good The children and Penelope find some new friends in the strange Russian children I love these kids and it s so interesting to see how she s molded them into lovely English children, even if they do st [...]

    12. wordnerdy 2015 04The fifth book in the Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place series is here, and it s great, because Penelope finally starts to put all the pieces together There s also a whole thing with a trip to Brighton, visits with old sea dogs, a family of boisterous Russians straight out of stereotypical Russian fiction, and even a little romance Things end on a pretty crazy cliffhanger, but now that she s stopped stringing us along, I trust Wood to pull off a strong finale Assuming there [...]

    13. Some of the mysteries from the first four books are finally solved, but this installment ends on a To Be Continued cliffhanger with a new twist thrown in at the last minute, and I am beside myself I actually shed a tear When is the next book coming out I feel like I waited so long for this one.The Incorrigibles are as smart and darling as ever, and Ms Lumley is still plucky, but she s also maturing I love the author s habit in this series of introducing a couple of vocabulary words early on and [...]

    14. Maryrose Wood is pure evil I hope I don t have to wait very long for the next installment in this series What I found missing in the Series of Unfortunate Events books can be found here The books in this series are filled with mystery, adventure, heart and hope The audiobooks are extremely well done, too I was a little disappointed that my library didn t get the audio version of this book, but I wasn t at all disappointed in the story These books are adorable I think I m going to start posting A [...]

    15. As many series continue I often find myself wishing authors would tie things up and resolve their stories I was thinking this as I started the fifth in this series, but as I got caught up in this volume I didn t want the story to end It s another in the clever, humorous, and highly engaging adventures of the wolf children, and this one advances the story in significant ways I eagerly await yet another in the tales of the Incorrigibles of Ashton Place The narration is again top notch I think Kath [...]

    16. I started out listening to the series as an audio book with my family They are a fun way to spend long car rides, as we reached the middle of The Unmapped Sea I was to hung up and started reading ahead I may be older than the focused age group, I do enjoy a fun read every once in a while As I placed the book down I could only say one thing without giving the story away, It changes The storyline rapidly changes to something I was not expecting Before those events though, the story is the same fun [...]

    17. The Incorrigibles are back I love them all from Cassawoof to Lumawoo A great deal about the background and back story of the entire cast of characters is discovered when they all traipse to the English coast in January The bad guys are still bad, but others begin to show than their one dimensional qualities. One of my favorite series to follow, and now I will wait patiently for another year, and another book to discover resolve the cliffhanger ending.

    18. So good Some resolution to questions that have been dancing around and promising to be answered for a long time, but now Penelope is left in a very tricky spot this one ends with a cruel cliffhanger and I just hope Maryrose Wood finishes the next book soon Babushkinovs Pregnant Constance trip to Brighton and Rome Simon and Penelope open up about their feelings

    19. I am in love with this series It doesn t get any humorous or charming than these books A young governess trying to teach three siblings raised by wolves, add in a mysterious curse surrounding the family that has adopted them and just a dash of innocent romance for said governess So much love for these books I can t wait for the next one

    20. Oh my goodness It was super duper uber good So many secrets revealed view spoiler We still don t know her parents though Who are they We all knew it was coming, but we finally found out how she and the Incorrigibles are related to the Ashtons How is Penelope going to Russia How will the next book turn out Why was it a cliff hanger hide spoiler

    21. I finally realized what I love about these books they have the wit and tone that I haven t gotten from a series since A Series of Unfortunate Events This has been a fun series to read in between lengthier books, and I look forward to the next one

    22. The fourth in the series was fantastic My children and I love the story, the characters and the reader Some questions left hanging from previous books were answered But what a cliff hanger we were left with My daughter 11 years old was lamenting this morning that the next is not out

    23. Oh my, a cliff hanger ending What wordplay, what wit I love the Incorrigibles My favorite Agatha Swanburn saying so far Resist temptation, embrace adventure, and learn how to tell the difference Words to live by Thank you, Agatha
