This second book of the Athina trilogy is a bit better than the first book Jim Athina is still a bit obnoxious, but the book focuses on plot and less on Jim s often repeated hang ups about breasts and being short In fact, if you like Andre Norton s fantasy books, this second book might be appealing I was reminded of her books by this one, apart from the author s attempt at imagining how a man might experience being a woman The gender essentialism in this series still bugs me, but maybe in this [...]
