    1. Bought this for my 2 year old granddaughter, Mae, and she loves it It finally fell apart so they bought her the hard board one I then bought her 2 other BabyLit books in the JA genre.

    2. This review is coming from the perspective of two readers who are not very familiar with the children s classic, Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown shocking, I know Hubby, born in Colombia, didn t read it as a child, and I honestly can t remember if I did My memorable childhood reads were books by Dr Seuss, Eric Carle, and Robert Munsch.Regardless, we were both looking forward to reading this parody of a classic OUR THOUGHTS Hubby I enjoyed the story a lot Being familiar with Pride and Preju [...]

    3. Fun little read, parody of goodnight moon Glad I know the story of Pride Prejudice cuz I wouldn t get it from this book.

    4. SUMMARY This story takes place in the Netherfield ballroom and then skips to the end where weddings take placeLUSTRATIONS The illustrations are similar to those of Good Night moon, but in a less refined way,THE GOOD I was looking forward to reading this book, because of my love of Jane Austen and Pride and Prejudice The concept was good, but it in no way deliveredE NOT AS GOOD The rhymes didn t rhyme In the great ballroom there was a country dance and a well played tune and Elizabeth Bennet Appa [...]

    5. A BOOK TO BE UNIVERSALLY ACKNOWLEDGED If you know enough about Jane Austen to appreciate the title of this review, and if you have ever read, even once, Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown , then you will LOVE this book GOODNIGHT MR DARCY is endearing on every level It has perfect illustrations which evoke the same kind of magic Clement Hurd created in Brown s original book, inspiring us again with a perfectly applied primary color palette It also parallels the same word format and rhyme schem [...]

    6. 3.9 starsThis book is obviously for adults kids won t get the allusions in the text The rhythm of the original Goodnight Moon is not captured well in this version The flow seems a little stilted. However, it s Jane Austen It s Elizabeth Bennet It s Mr Darcy So the book is to be loved just because of that.

    7. Thank you Kate Coombs Sometimes my brain goes numb and mushy after reading kids books to my son at night I thought one of them was missing pages because the story made no sense and ended abruptlybut it wasn t This book made me feel better.

    8. Not so good, the rhyming did not fit the pattern of the original and the choices of text were quite poor Goodnight mush , really

    9. This was precious I loved adding lots of background info to the simple rhymes Coombs used to tell the story of Pride Prejudice.

    10. Kinda cute, but not really for kids because it wouldn t make sense to them and the rhyming is forced It would surely be cute for a fan of Pride and Prejudice.
