    1. Nope Way to kill a series Boyfriend of alcoholic cop is a drug dealer not talking a little weed here either , liar and a manipulator and he can overlook all that as long as he s not a killer, too I mean ok but REALLY You re a fucking cop I guess it s a little bit of Oh thank God, I m not sleeping with a murderer but a high level drug dealer really isn t much better in my opinion So I couldn t bring myself to like either of the MC s At all And the mystery is completely predictable Added to all th [...]

    2. I actually had this story figured out early on By Max s murder I knew who dunnit and who James was I don t think it was anything in particular that gave it away, something just clicked and it was the only thing that made sense But, of course, the other characters don t know what s going on, really, and the journey between the the events that started it all and the conclusion were well done and often kept me on the edge of my seat And so, of course, I had to wait to see if I was right.Brian is an [...]

    3. There were a few things that kept this from being a 5 star read Ironically, the title sums it all up Trust I just couldn t believe that Brian was willing to put so much on the line for a lover that he was about to dump an hour before his partner wound up dead And if I wasn t able to get past that, a lot of the book was spent thinking, Sure, just throw it all away Risk your badge And your friend s badge because HOT, Damn is that guy good in bed And, even Brian says that the great sex shouldn t be [...]

    4. 5 heart racing stars I loved this story It had so much going on and kept you on your toes I am really good at figuring stuff out way before things happen and WOW this one got me I had NO clue I loved Brian and felt for his emotions and what to do it was raw it was real I loved him and James and that as much as it tore him apart he still wanted to help him The end blew me away I loved It and was sad when it ended I am addicted to L.A Witt s writing.

    5. So, I usually love L.A Witt, and this book wasn t bad by any means, but it was so fundamentally flawed that I couldn t truly enjoy it.Brian is a homicide detective, and when called to a crime scene, discovers that one of the bodies looks just like his boyfriend, James, whom he s planning to dumb because he s been so cagey He then finds out that the dead guy is a drug dealer, and that he has a brother business partner named yes, James Turns out it s the same James.James admits to running a drug r [...]

    7. The following review was originally posted on my book blog The Book ChallengersI liked the first book in the series I liked Nick and Andrew than I did Brian and James I believed in their relationship than I did in Brian and James relationship as the latter felt way physical and less emotional than the former I could see the tension and attraction between Nick and Andrew, but I don t think I really did between Brian and James as they had already been in a relationship of sorts for a couple of [...]

    8. DNF at 20%I mean really, your boyfriend lies about who he really is, even gives you a fake name and you still wanna sleep with him This is a relationship that has been going on for a few months, not years That is grounds for dismissal, hands down He s a drug dealer and you re a cop It s just not a connection that fits and let s face it, Brian was already on the fence about drug dealing James being a cheater Finding out he s lied the whole time about who he is and what he does put the nail in his [...]

    10. I admit to being disheartened at first when this story wasn t a direct follow up to Nick and Anthony from the first book in this series While we do get some glimpses and hints of their continuing story, the focus here is on fellow cop Brian and his boyfriend James, who is not all that he appears to be I figured out the whodunit part pretty quickly, but even then it wasn t a case of it s so obvious how are these people not figuring it out for another 20 chapters and a case of I m just that suspi [...]

    11. This book has some of the components that I like best an MC cop with issues in this case drinking too much and a stubborn love for a boyfriend who is untrustworthy A mystery, murders, loss of loved ones, comfort of friends It was well done, and there were some very emotional and some very hot moments The final twist will come as no surprise to M M readers, and what lost this a star for me was that I saw it coming for so long, with the way it made some insoluble complications instantly resolve I [...]

    12. 4.5 starsI really enjoyed book 1 of this series, but this one was even better While Cover Me had an interesting plot and a constant background tension, Trust Me felt like a thriller from the very beginning The danger and tension were front and center It was not really a mystery for me even though the MC doesn t realize it, it did not take me long to figure out who the bad and good guys were However, that made the thriller aspect potent for me I know very quickly in what kind of danger Brian was [...]

    14. DamnI gotta be honestI don t think I can review this without spoiling the shit out of itI ll just say there was someand thenWhich was like view spoiler damn it because I would have liked James so much if I had known what was going on But I didn t like him, not until I knew the truth and then the damn book was over hide spoiler br br br br br br br br br br br br br br br

    15. Loved the twists and turns, and actually did not see that big one coming D Loved the passion, felt the veracity of their relationship, and was right there with them every step of the way.The mystery was very well written, the knowledge of technical procedure was spot on, and I loved how everything played out.And I really liked how Andrew and Nick tied in, as well.Highly recommended I actually liked this one than the first book But you definitely should read them in order On to the third.

    16. It starts with a bang One MC s police partner is killed along with other MC s brother Detective Brian Clifton almost has a heart attack when called to a murder scene and his boyfriends doppelganger is one of the deceased Not five minutes later his partner and best friend is murdered.A complicated story of drug dealing, dirty cops and baddies who are not always who they say they are Brian has to keep himself alive and trust his judgement when all fingers point to his boyfriend James as being a mu [...]

    17. 4 starsI really liked this book than the second one I was a 3 star for this book because I did not feel any connection in this book like the last one and I was getting tired to feel something but then last 10% bumped that star because one of the MC turned out to be a something else that shocked me and I read that part twice to know I was reading it right That revelation was the best Definitely recommend.

    18. 37% I tried, I really did Once it got going, the whole premise of the book just didn t sit right Boyfriend is a drug dealer liar and the partner cop is o.k with all this view spoiler and the imaginary decoy brother hide spoiler It was a little too far fetched for me This was in audio so the narrator could have had a part to play in my feelings, as I didn t think he did a great job in differentiating the characters meh

    19. I will try to re read when I m in a different mood I think I was rolling my eyes too much reading this book.

    20. I loved the first books of this series Cover Me I didn t find anything about this book or the actions of the main characters believable I never became invested with these new characters at all.

    23. I really liked this one I enjoyed the first book in the series, and this one was no less exciting to read.I found the situation believable I can relate to not wanting to believe in bad rumors or evidence when it s about a person you love Some people might be willing to dump their lover just hearing that they might have committed crimes, but other people would stick with them through no matter what.Brian was conflicted and he had trouble believing in James, but the story and especially the ending [...]

    24. I can t read this book Your boyfriend just told you he s a DRUG DEALER and there s no reaction FROM A COP Also, drug dealing bf lied about his last name as well but Brian is all Tell me what happened, oh i know you ve had a bad day blah blah please stop This reaction of a cop finding out his boyfriend been lying to him for ages and is a fucking drug dealer is unbelievable Really I can t believe a rational cop would react like that.I m going to skip this and move on to the next one At least there [...]

    25. re read not realizing that I had read parts 1 and 2 in Sep 15 The dialogue drags at times and the sex is not mind blowing although it is to Brian and James Eric The story is gripping however and as I moved toward the finale I found myself intensely caught up An unlikely set up, Brian a cop with a boyfriend James who turns out to be a drug dealer And surprising twists at the end A good read.

    26. Rating overviewWriting Story Characters Overall 4.33 This story is certainly a lot of fun and takes you on a wild ride perfect for summer I find What I liked most about this was how flawed Brian was he didn t always make the best decisions but at least he was human On the other hand, I was a little bothered by the constant smoking and drinking whilst I appreciate the intent, I think it could have been done matter whilst still making a point.
