    1. 4.5 starsSee this review and others like it at BadassBookReviews I ve really enjoyed both novels in Sophie Littlefield s Joe Bashir series, but I have to say that Shattered Bond has been my favorite I really love the character of Joe and though I enjoyed seeing his struggle between how he sees himself and how his family wants him to be in the first book, I liked seeing him secure here It seems like he is getting better at balancing the traditional aspects of his life with the modern ones He is [...]

    2. This is the second book with our favorite sexy Pakistani American Joe Bashir He was on his first date in awhile with a woman that has potential when Joe gets a call about a dead teen girl Once Joe gets to the scene, he is shaken at the violence perpetrated against the young girl As he sets out to solve the case, he realizes how thin the veneer of civilization is for the posh set the girl belonged to This was a very gripping read, but wasn t surprised at the ending Love the fact that Joe now may [...]

    3. 4.5 stars Joe Bashir is a new detective crime thriller series by one of my favorite authors Had it not been for Sophie Littlefield authoring this series, I might not have picked it up detective mysteries are not my go to genre So glad I follow Sophie s books This series is yes a detective series, but while the murder mysteries are complex and tight the true action is character driven The story in each novel centers on a police detective, Joe Bashir Readers of Littlefield s other books know how S [...]

    4. There were a lot of characters in this one, but they were developed really well I really liked the character of Joe, with his struggle between work and family His colleagues in the police department are also a great supporting cast for him The part I didn t like with the book was the sudden reveal of the killer There really wasn t any lead up to this or any way as a reader we could have figured it out I would like to go back and read the first one in this series as I didn t realize this was the [...]

    5. I really like the character of Joe Bashir This book like the first one was a good, solid mystery that was pleasantly quick to read Engaging and interesting but not bogged down in too many unnecessary details Looking forward to reading .
