Well written biographies of some of the major and minor stars of the 1930 s 1940 s big band era Many passages from interviews with the subjects as well as the musicians that performed along side Mainly of interest to drummers and a few other musical types, somewhat geeky but it does get below the surface and reveals some lesser known aspects of these respected, even beloved, musicians.
