    1. The Hunters is a typical John Flanagan adventure mature children s fiction with a light hearted nature, interesting characters, well handled plots, educational information and most of all a rollicking good time Those familiar with The Rangers Apprentice series may know that Flanagan wrote this series so far a trilogy as a spin off set in the world of Will, Horace and Halt And yet, despite being a spin off title, it is no less appealing The Hunters is the conclusion to the tale of the young band [...]

    2. This book was AMAZING This series has become one of my all time favorite series The characters are so well written that they win you over immediately, and the plot is so engaging that you don t want to put the book down This series also keeps its excitement throughout the gap between the second and third book usually your excitement dies down, but it stayed all the way I also loved that characters from the Ranger Apprentice series are included, because they were loved then and are well appreciat [...]

    3. If you know me, you may know I m a big fan of the Ranger s Apprentice series.Even still, when I first heard about this series I had mixed feelings I liked the Skandians well enough in the RA universe, but I wasn t sure about a whole story series from that angle And then, after reading the first two books, they didn t quite compare to my beloved RA.Well, this book changes that.I m not saying it surpasses my love, because it s still not quite the same but I will say that the ending of this book wa [...]

    4. Thoughts on the Overall Book Whereas the last book tended to drag a little, I think this was was properly fast paced and exciting and I m glad it ended the way it did I really enjoyed it a lot It had all the great character moments, adventure and humor that I have come to expect in John Flanagan s books I ve come to like the Brotherband Chronicles just as much as the Ranger s Apprentice series.Characters As always, I loved the Heron Brotherband, plus Thorn They are totally awesome I m also glad [...]

    5. At first, I felt like this book was a little too contrived Don t get me wrong, I really like the Ranger s Apprentice series and how Mr Flanagan spins his stories so that they have good moral lessons, but the beginning of this one Brotherband series was well too forced I liked the story I like the characters At the middle of the book, the story picked up a little and I loved the ending I could really visualize the two ships fighting and how people would be impressed by the youthful group and thei [...]

    6. Third in the Brotherband Chronicles urban fantasy series for young adults It is an offshoot from Flanagan s Ranger Apprentice series. My TakeThis was great Again I haven t yet read a bad book from John Flanagan And it keeps amazing me that we re only three books into the series I feel as though I know the characters so well and been on so many adventures with them, that there must be than just three books I do love how Flanagan creates such a positive role model with the crew of the Heron and ho [...]

    8. Cover Blurb Yes or No Yes Despite the fact that there is a character impersonator on the front, his face is not defined all that much, so I m okay with it I do love the cover art for this series it s exciting, and I love how each picture refers to some specific part in the corresponding book.Characters All of the Herons remain really good characters Hal is a great protagonist, Stig a wonderful second, Ulf and Wulf and all the others great in all their roles Thorn is a character who continually g [...]

    9. 1.I decided to read The Hunters by John Flanagan Because I had already read a series by him and I was given it by my ICT teacher in year 8 as a prize in ICT at Graduation I had also read the first two books in the series and was addicted to his novels.2.One of the characters I found interesting in The Hunters was Hal who is the Helmsman and Builder of the Heron In the first book, Hal was also made Leader and skirl Captain of his brotherband, the Heron brotherband I found him interesting because [...]

    10. The third instalment in the Brotherband Chronicles is, I think the best Fast paced, great plot movement and battle scenes particularly the epic battle between the Heron and Zavac s pirate ship, Raven near the end are brilliant I could really picture the action in my head and at one point it got so exciting I could not turn the pages fast enough Hal and his crew, including Thorn and the newest member, Lydia, are in hot pursuit of the Raven and Zavac s, whose band of pirates stole the Andomal an i [...]

    11. I read this book after the previous two in the series, The Outcasts and the The Invaders And I read those after I had finished the Ranger s Apprentice Ranger s apprentice was recommended to me by one of my friends who has read almost every book in our library, so naturally I ask him for book recommendations I dived right in to Ranger s Apprentice and was really eager to read Brotherband once it came out I think this book was really good and you should read it if you love books about the Medieval [...]

    13. I am seriously falling in love with this series No question in my mind that The Brotherband Chronicles series is better than The Ranger s Apprentice I would never have guessed it.This book was much better than The Invaders In fact, I was totally engaged from the very beginning It surely isn t difficult reading and is very much a late elementary, early junior high level reading However, anyone can enjoy this series, no matter the age I have been talking about both these series with any and all of [...]

    15. John Flanagan has one again impressed me with the amazingly written third book in the Brotherband Chronicles adventure series The Hunters Hal and the Heron crew, take you on an unforgettable experience full with dangerous fighting and flying across the blue ocean waters in their unique ship in pursuit of the man who took everything away from them and the Scandinavian nation The malefic pirate Zavac The Herons spend most of their time sailing the vast ocean trying in search of the Andomal their t [...]

    16. 17. Before I write anything else, you guys should probably know I actually rated this closer to 4.5 than 5 starsVING ON, I read this book a few days back and while its obviously a very well written book, with very well developed characters, I still feel as if there is some kind of distance separating me from the characters, or specifically the main one, and because of that distance I can t bring myself to actually GIVE it a full five stars in my mind not the site, my mind So while everything else, [...]

    18. In the third book in the Brotherband Chronicles, Hal and the crew of the Heron have just missed capturing Zavac the stolen Andomal and set off to follow him once Zavac creates traps for them along the way, and the Herons find themselves facing mounting obstacles, until finally, knowing that Zavac has reached the safety of Raguza, a pirate cove, they must figure out how to get safely in the cove, defeat Zavac, and make it out again.Flanagan provides just as much action, excitement, adventure and [...]

    19. 5 STARSI have had this book on my shelf to read for a year I really enjoy John Flanagan s stories I admit to having read them all now Can t wait for next one coming out this fall. This is the third in the Brotherband Chronicles It finishes the story line of finding the Andomal that was stolen on their watch. They are truly a Brotherband They have faults and strength each one different from the others I started the book and could not put it down till I had finished Hal uses his mind and skills that [...]

    20. The Hunters is the final book in the Brotherband Chronicles trilogy written by the author of the Ranger s Apprentice series, John Flanagan In this finale, the reader follows Hal and the Herons as they reach the end of their long journey in search of the one thing that will clear their names, the one thing that made them pariahs within the Skandian world the most prized possession of the Skandians, the Andomal This is a very satisfying conclusion to the trilogy because John Flanagan offers all th [...]

    21. Hal and the Heron brotherband continue their relentless pursuit of Zavac and his fellow pirates aboard the Ravem, to recover the precious Andomal relic belonging to their Skandian tribe They have been joined by Lydia, who helped them chase these pirates out of Limmat and helps them escape jail when they are captured following Zavac down the Dan River Using subterfuge devised by Hal, the crew gains entry into the pirate fortress city of Raguza Preying on the city chieftan s dislike for Zavac, Hal [...]

    22. The Hunters is a great book for adventurous and exciting people because this book is full of it Hal, Thorn, and the Heron brother band sail down the Dan river chasing Zavac the pirate Along the way they encounter pirates, boastful leaders, and a friendly ship that escorts traders They must think and barge through all the obstacles Zavac leaves to catch up to him Sail through the library and pick up the Hunters and read to your victory.

    23. Lots of action, fighting, twists, and turns this novel was great A crazy story keeping me glued to the pages so I read it in one sitting This book did a great job expanding on the feminist topics it introduced in the last novel like the fact that a girl can be a great warrior, or a big strong man can enjoy knitting Well done Quite a progressive book in that aspect, especially as it is written for kids.

    24. It was good and fast paced I honestly get the books kind of confused but it is good In the beginning they are still chasing Zavac and he ends up going in to the river of Dan and the Herons of course follow him in They get held up many times on the way because of Zavac s doings when they find him and have to battle him on ships is the real challenge They end up sinking the ship and Zavac along with him though it becomes a close called when Hal almost goes with him.

    25. This book was soooo good I love John Flanagan s books, and this didn t disappoint me I liked the action in the book Perhaps my favorite part was the part when Hal came up with his genius idea I liked the book because it was written well, and the well developed characters I also liked the way the book was written It was a book that kept me reading for an afternoon straight.I definitely recommend it.

    26. I loved the ending Nothing makes my day better than a good ending to a book I ve been reading I think the saga was very creative and funny Also I can t wait for the next book to come out if there is one because I want to know who Lydia picks, Hal or Stig because either one would suit her great but I know that the best friends will find their way around this obstical.

    27. This book was by far the best of the books that John Flanagan has written because in this story they where finally on the home run to catching the blood thirsty pirate Zavac The adventure was full of fast paced adventure.

    28. This book ends the story I loved it because it had humor and action It is medieval and you need to read the two books before this before you read this one There is a lot on sailing to do in this series This series is about a young man named Hal, he is a smart half Araluen half Skandian outcast.

    29. SPOILER ALERT Hal and the herons finally got hold of the precious orange stone of Skandia after hunting down the pirates and Zavac their captain I wonder what the next book will be about.

    30. I can t believe how much I loved these books about young warriors on the sea, out smarting pirates and rescuing those in troublebut they re brilliant I can t wait for the next arc in the series.
