I picked this book from a table of books my friend had inherited from a previous tenant Given that I have been reading mostly American and foreign writers of the mid twentieth century, writers who have won some of the same prizes as the authors presented here years ago, I wanted to see what is prize worthy fiction these days, well two years ago anyway I was only peripherally aware of one author, Kevin Barry in a list that included Emma Donahue, Jean Kwok, Tom Lee, Robert Minhinnick, and Linda Oa [...]

    3. An okay bunch of short stories, my personal favourite would have to be The Hunt by Emma Donoghue It has everything that a short story should be pacey, captivating and to the point.
