    1. This book actually rhymes, but it is not the whimsical, silly rhymes you are used to from Dr Seuss It has a serious, nurturing tone, which quite surprised me I really liked the dynamic interaction of colors, animals, and emotions, although I wasn t sure I liked tying emotions to certain colors For example, if your favorite color is purple, sorry, but that is the sad and alone color And brown and black are, of course, depressed and angry But I am probably overthinking it If you take them as just [...]

    2. I love the idea of this book that different colors express our moods I know some days I feel happy hot pink, some days a deep blue I m not sure I totally loved the illustrations but they are very vibrant and fun.

    3. A standalone story about the colors that reflect one s feelings that will appeal to children and adults And one to which I wish I could give a 7 My TakeWow, the colors start immediately you open the book with the distressed bright green, the calmer orange, and the quieter purple which offsets the white background for the title page It s a rich palette of color and texture as the artists provide a sumptuous background for their figures with successive pages becoming complex in the use of color.T [...]

    4. this should have been called, Dr Seuss discusses multiple personalities He must have been depressed when he wrote this one.

    5. My nearly two year old daughter loves Dr Seuss books So when I told her I got a new one out of the library, she was very excited READ IT DADDY DR SEUUUUUS.But then I opened the book and started reading and she stopped me cold NO READ DR SEUSS NO DR SEUSS I have to say, I side with her The artists behind this one are no Dr Seuss.

    8. Text to Teaching ConnectionThis is a great book with wonderful illustrations On the first page of the book, the main character is a cookie cutter shape and throughout the book we see this character in different colors The colors represent different moods that we go through and feel By the end of the book, we see the colors come together and describes the character altogether of being me and happy This book would be good to teach your students about different moods and how to handle them You coul [...]

    9. Dr Seuss is better known for classics like The Cat in the Hat and books that have been turned into movies like how the Grinch stole Christmas and Horton Hears a Who This is a gentler offering, that was recommended to me by a colleague who swore by its lyrical quality it is in Dr Seuss s trademark rhyme but is unusual in that it doesn t contain a usual story Instead, it charts a short journey through different feelings, associating them with colours The illustrations are bright and vivid, really [...]

    10. Synthesis In this book, Dr Seuss uses bright illustrations with animals and colors to address the different types of moods that people go through It begins by saying that not everyday is the same Then, after taking the audience through different emotions that come with each mood, he concludes by reminding the readers that as long as you are only temporarily in these different moods and go back to being, then that is perfectly fine.Teaching Connections This book is a great way for students to get [...]

    11. Amazingly good book Excellent way to teach children about emotions It shows that colors are not only describe or belong to certain object but also to feelings They will look at colors a different way I enjoyed the rhyming very much, and the illustrations, although a bit abstract, were great This is just another amazing way for children to not only express their own feeling but also to understand everybody else s feelings. An activity I would do with this book, is that i will give each child a pie [...]

    12. I thought this book was a great tool to help children learn their colors The title alone embodies what the book is basically about, which drew me in as an aspiring teacher I loved how this book also conveyed emotions through every color by using an animal or object It was very creative It also rhymed which I liked, because this can help children learn words that sound the same It overall touches on many different learning skills that would be beneficial for children to know and that s why I like [...]

    13. I absolutely love this book It is one of my favorites by Dr Seuss It taught me as a child that we all have feelings, many different feelings It showed that being sad is ok, and being happy is ok That each feeling is a part of the human makeup It is human to feel.

    14. A posthumous Dr Seuss, illustrated by 2 artist painters, a poetic emotional barometer. This delightful little book helps children s awareness of mood and emotional states, their own and that of the people around them, using light and color pattern as brilliant metaphors.

    15. In the last 4 years I have probably read this book close to 1,000 times to my three young children I just read it 12 times to my one year old This book rocks Today is a green day.

    16. simply beautiful I absolutely never tire of this book, nor do my children It is so poignant and so vibrant both in its ideas, as well as the illustrations.

    17. My Many Colored Days written by Dr Seuss and illustrated by Steve Johnson and Lou Fancher simplistically explains on the many emotions people feel in correlations to colors and animals The text introduces a boy saying Some days are yellow Some days are blue On different days I m different too Then, each page flip indirectly describes a different emotion by only using a single colour and an animal In the conclusion of the text, the story explains that all of these different emotions creates the l [...]

    18. My Many Colored Days Hardcover by Dr Seuss, is a fabulous book The illustrations are somewhat simple, but yet maintain a sense of purpose and originality I liked the media used here which was, watercolor and color pencils for sketching The variations in lines, whether dull or hard, add a great touch for emphasis in the selected areas There wasn t anything that stood out to me that, wasn t something I liked about the book It is very different than a common Dr Seuss book, and I think that it was s [...]

    19. Dr Seuss My Many Colored Days isn t your average Dr Seuss book It is interesting to compare this book to his others because the illustrations aren t how you think a Dr Seuss book would look The author s voice is also different The book still rhymes, but there are no made up words But, this doesn t take away from how great this book is My many colored days pairs emotions with colors and follows someone as they describe their many colored days This children s picture book tackles the idea that its [...]

    20. Miss 3 and I have read a lot of Dr Seuss books and some of the ones that we own are read over and over again she s very fond of his wacky ABC book This is quite a different style and a surprise, pleasantly so, as I wouldn t have pegged it for Dr Seuss As per usual, feelings are discussed in association with colour Miss 3 often disagrees with colour choices to her purple is happy and orange is angry and yellow is sad and blue is anxious but books like these are always useful for helping her think [...]

    21. No, this isn t typical Dr Seuss fare, but I did enjoy itrhaps even so because of that fact The rhymes are simple, without the made up words that can make a Seussian read aloud difficult, and the illustrations, while not really a favorite, are bright, colorful, and do work well with the text Overall, this may not be a top pick, but it worked well with my unit on colors and, if you aren t expecting it to be Seussian, it stands pretty well on its own two feet Bonus if you use this to help kids lea [...]

    22. Dr Seuss is known for his wacky rhymes and outrageous creatures but the story My Many Colored Days is far from his normal work The book goes explains feelings in the form of colors and animals This will intrigue any young child that comes across the path of the book because Seuss relates it to objects that the child would enjoy. The illustrations are magnificent, a completely different style from the normal Seuss The paintings bring in illuminating colors and different but known shapes to explain [...]
