    2. Whoever said that UF was dead or dying must have read the wrong books The Shadows Inquiries series is one of the best around It has all the landmarks of the genre kick ass heroine, angst, grit, monsters, federal agents and cops struggling with the truth and it never repeats a clich Or better it makes them fresh.Ms Benedict is a master at writing she includes pieces of the past in the narrative without a glitch And even if you don t remember what has happened in the past, you can read on without [...]

    4. 5. It was such a treat to be back in the Shadow Inquiries world, and LIES AND OMENS doesn t waste a single page before ramping up the action Almost invisibly, Benedict intertwined gentle reminders about Sylvie s past without slowing down the current events one bit By the time Sylvie was clinched in what is the absolute best shower scene I ve ever read, I knew I was going to gulp this book down in one sitting and I was right.Above and beyond a killer first act, the entire book is infused with Benedi [...]

    6. It was such a treat to be back in the Shadows Inquiries world, and LIES AND OMENS doesn t waste a single page before ramping up the action Almost invisibly, Benedict intertwined gentle reminders about Sylvie s past without slowing down the current events one bit though new readers should definitely put in the time to read prior books By the time Sylvie was clinched in what is the absolute best shower scene I ve ever read, I knew I was going to gulp this book down in one sitting and I was right.A [...]

    7. Not a bad stopping point, if that s how it ends up.Lots of things came to a head in this book, and the way it ends makes it equally possible that this is the end of the story or just the conclusion of the first arc Given that the book was published over a year and a half ago, I am inclined to believe the former and that s okay Most of the loose ends got resolved, and the last chapter works in either case as an epilogue or a teaser Personally, I think trying to continue the series would probably [...]

    8. The Shadow Inquiries series continued with plenty of action, frustrating romance and otherworldly type creatures aplenty Sylvie once again has to save humanity from the magical world and those hell bent on destroying the ISI with no care who falls into their path.Sylvie is kick ass, loyal and full of surprises We continue to get a peek into what being the New Lilith entails for Sylvie while continuing to keep us and her for that matter in the dark We get a hot and sexy shower reunion scene betwe [...]

    9. I read the book a month ago so I can t remember exactly the whole detail.I do know the big bad is still the government which would delight the conspiracy theorist out there The ending shows that there will be a new baddie but will there be another book or is this the book finale Sylvie did get her happy ending kinda so will we see book number 5 next April I m not much of a review writer, I ll leave it to those with talent I ll just say that I enjoyed Lies Omens.

    10. Overall the story showed amazing promise However some parts were long winded which in turn left me bored for a few paragraphs or a chapter I thought it was a great story, the one thing I m left with wondering is, is this the end of the series In a way, it s a perfect ending It could either be the finale of the series or it could go on creating installments Either way, really good writing, I have enjoyed reading all Lyn Benedict s installments in this series

    11. I must say, being a Lilith really is tiring, Sylvie gets all the bullets and gory trying to stay low without success Yet, eventually, she overcomes all those huge powers like gods making her do things just because they are gods.I like how her sister gets time in this book and they bicker like most sisters do Yet, they love one another in their own way.

    12. I enjoyed this book I think it sets things up nicely for at least a few books after this one It was nice to see so many characters return Demalion, Dunne, Erinya, and Alex, of course.
