    1. Ugh I got than halfway through and just could not continue The plot was interesting, but it wasn t going anywhere The characters weren t very interesting they could have been with their backgrounds especially J.B who was a bit interesting , but they were fairly flat and annoying at times With that said, there was no chemistry between J.B and Zoe, and hardly any time devoted to bringing about the relationship they mostly discussed everything else boringly is that even a word Oh well The book was [...]

    2. I liked this book enjoyed the new england setting I believe that the description of the novel in Good Reads is incorrect seems to be from another book

    3. Interesting plot but hard to stay focused because there was too much repetition about the backgrounds of the characters The romantic angles were predictable and boring.

    4. Zoe West used to be a police officer and was scheduled to go to FBI training until her father was murdered That changed everything and she had to leave town to get a handle on her emotions But when her little sister calls to tell her someone has broken into her house, Zoe goes back home to Goose Harbor, ME, determined to face what sent her away a year earlier.FBI special agent JB McGrath comes to Goose Harbor for a much needed vacation after he s almost killed when under cover The murder a year [...]

    5. I actually listened to this book while in the car during vacation I can t read in the car, I get nauseous so I tried an audio book I had a difficult time listening to the book had trouble with the person reading the book at times her voices were so similar I had difficulties distinguishing which character was speaking That being said, the story was good, it began a little slow and then seemed to wrap up pretty quickly This was a decent book I may try some of this authors other books.

    6. Finding her father s murdered body destroyed Zoe s entry into the FBI She finally goes back home to try to get some sense of what happened, and other things start happening FBI Agent JB McGrath is on a forced leave after almost getting killed during an undercover operation The two team up to figure out what s happening.

    7. Following on my romantic suspense binge I read my first book by Carla Neggers Shattered by her father s murder, Zoe West abandoned her plans to become an FBI agent and left her hometown of Goose Harbor, Maine But a new home and job did nothing to get her life back on track, and now Zoe knows only one thing will returning to Goose Harbor and confronting the past.FBI Special Agent J B McGrath is on vacation the Bureau s version of Get your act together, or else Burned out after working undercover [...]

    8. The Harbor by Carla Neggers is a good read, but didn t hold my interest like some of her other books The fact that it took me two weeks to read it, shows that I usually read a book within two days time, but this story didn t have the power to make me think about it when I had to put it down I only went back to it when I saw it sitting on the table. That being said, the plot was very good I really enjoyed the two main characters and their relationship I also enjoyed the quirks of both of them as i [...]

    9. Carla Neggers writes some of the best mysteries, always different and beyond the conventional The Harbor was no different Once again the plot was intelligent and intriguing to keep you involved from start to end The romance was just as good Often times, I find that romantic suspense is like a suspense with romance thrown in or vice verse but in this story both elements were well balanced and intertwined together seamlessly. The mystery began a year earlier with the unsolved murder of a small tow [...]

    10. After Zoe found her father, police chief Patrick West, shot to death, she left Goose Harbor, Maine Now she is back and townsfolk are leery about her looking into his death J B McGrath, FBI agent, is also in Goose Harbor He is recovering from an undercover sting where he had no choice but to shoot and kill a man and was ordered by his supervisor to take a vacation Once in Goose Harbor, he heard about the unsolved murder of the police chief and his investigative instincts take over When he meets Z [...]

    11. The Harbor The Carriage House Series 4 Zoe and JB he s FBI recovering from his injuries he is also now searching for a killer who is a threat to Zoe enjoyed book had enough mystery and romance for me When artist Jill Moncrieff s childhood friend Cooper was falsely accused of a crime, she had to return to the stifling world of wealth and privilege she had escaped years earlier Hiring hotshot attorney Peter Hathaway was the best thing for Cooper but the worst thing for Jill, not only because he em [...]

    12. The Harbor was the first Carla Neggers book I ve read, and I ll be downloading She held me from the first page to the last It was for me a two day read Her prose is so smooth I slipped effortlessly into her fictional small town and believed every single detail The tension within characters and between characters is raw and palpable The romance is heartwarming and felt real I rooted for the lovers from the beginning and cheered for them all the way through They truly deserved their happy ending [...]

    13. This was an interesting set up considering the main character Zoe, made a life decision based upon her father s murder early on in the book Her final decision ended up being even unusual but it fit Of course there is intrigue, mayhem and romance as in all of Carla s books and characters that I cared about and wanted to see have their lives straightened out This should be read after Stonebrook Cottage as Zoe is introduced there, but before reading that, read The Cabin.

    14. Nicely detailed Maine setting and two strong willed protagonists, but the romantic setup is rather depressingly close to that of Neggers s recent Saint s Gate I probably would have enjoyed this a little if there had been time between my reading this and that as it was, I kept thinking about how Neggers was repeating herself.

    15. I had a hard time getting into this book Once I got about 2 3s through though it seemed to pick up for me I usually get right into this author I did enjoy the remainder of the book and it went pretty fast I have to say 3 1 2 stars.

    16. I liked it, but it is connected to other books by Carla Neggers that I would have liked to have read first You don t have to read them in order, but I like to So now I am reading the first one, and then will eventually read the other 2 before The Harbor.

    17. When I started this book, some connections were very confusing and I wondered if I had to read this series in order But I kept going and most things worked themselves out However, I DID not see the ending coming very interesting

    18. Another in the FBI murder mystery series with a variety of characters, romance and good mystery Easy and entertaining read.

    19. this one was harder for me to get into the storyme parts I was boredbut finished the bookLike some of her other books somewhat better
