    1. Read this series Seriously read this I have read a significant number of fantasy novels and epic fantasy series and I have not encountered many that even came close to The Malazan Book of the Fallen A word of warning though, This is not feel good fantasy These books will very likely make you feel bad about life in general You will very likely find yourself weeping uncontrollably at many different points throughout the series It is the very soul crushing nature of this piece of work that makes it [...]

    2. some books are better than others, but overall a really great series Erikson creates a whole world that sucks you in from the start, some really great characters, love whiskeyjack, quick ben, fiddler and anomander rake to name just a few for fanasty lovers unmissable

    3. The sheer scope of imagination involved here, the incredible world building and the ability of each volume to create an incredible convergence of multiple, in depth story elements, makes Erikson s series a masterpiece of epic fantasy.

    4. I often have difficulty putting my feelings for Malazan into words I started the series last July I am an avid fantasy sci fi reader and I try to read it all I have found that fantasy authors can t write as quickly as fantasy readers devour books I know I have hit all the big ones I read other genres as well but fantasy is and always will be my heart I read everything available in Malazan including the series by Esslemont before I read and finished The Crippled God I didn t want it to end I felt [...]

    5. Best fantasy series I ve ever read I ve tried reading many of the most popular epic fantasy series and I lose interest around book 3 or 4 Erikson maintains the momentum, drive, and character development through the endd beyond Started reading the prequel trilogy and dragging it out so I don t have to wait between novels Seriously addictive.

    6. Very good fantasy, loved the world, the characters and the over arching plot Felt it lost it s way in the middle but not for long Ending did the whole series justice Though still wondering what happened to some of the characters that you meet and lose along the way Will definitely reread many times.

    7. Really good, immersive fantasy A bit hard to get into, and can be complicated to follow, but overall really enjoyed it.
