    1. The description of this book stated that no experience was necessary I d say that is definitely not true I ve tried crochet before and failed to really get it So I tried this book It didn t help me any though it did inspire me to go search the internet for videos again And this time I did pick the basics up quickly, so yay for that I still wouldn t feel comfortable with some of these patterns yet Some because they seem overwhelming a single bedspread that requires breaking out the daisy loom as [...]

    3. Hott Review of Crochet Lace I KNOW this is a bit out of the norm for me unless you ve met the fam You see, my mother in law comes from a Mennonite family whose women still carry around handkerchief edged with crocheted lace For years I ve been trying to get the patters right and to find the proper tools and process to get these right. This book is a lifesaver In addition to finally being able to contribute to the dwindling crocheters in the family I have the tools and background to make this proc [...]

    4. I read this book for NetGalley. This is an excellent reference book on crochet lace Ms Turner writes clearly and comprehensively about lace crochet, beginning with the origins of crochet, how to crochet and then the methods of the different types of lace crochet. The instructions appear to be clear and easy to follow Using this book would aid the crocheter in creating a lovely lace collar or some other garment How about lace edgings for pillow cases, or the ubiquitous lace doily Or even the ultima [...]

    5. Crochet Lace by Pauline Turner is a really good book which teaches you how to crochet Pauline was a little abrupt in the beginning of the book in her opinions, however this book is really good I did not expect lessons on how to crochet, but they were included and the pictures were great I did like this book and I recommend it I received a free copy of this book in return for my honest opinion.

    6. A very traditional book on crochet lace A disappointing look at an art stuck in bygone days As a crocheter myself I m always looking for books that bring crochet upto date, Sadly this doesn t do it.

    7. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.A fine collection of vintage patterns for this most delicate of crochet techniques An extensive bibliography details where these patterns may be found, whether on the internet or in printed book form.

    8. I was thinking that this book was going to be too complex for anyone other than an accomplished crocheter However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this is not the case, and that the projects are achievable and interesting In this way, the cover is somewhat misleading I love that there are photos of completed projects on the same page as the pattern, but found it really annoying that they were orientated differently in most cases if the pattern was orientated vertically, then the accompan [...]
