    1. A great book which reminded me very much of my growing up in the 1950 s and 60 s and life in New Zealand.

    2. Loved this book but then I grew up in North Beach and New Brighton was our local stomping ground so I could relate to this memoir so well.

    3. So much of this author s writings I could relate to from my own childhood being brought up by the sea in Christchurch A wonderful turn of phrase, very readable.

    4. Wonderful memoir of growing up in small town New Zealand, New Brighton by the sea Ansley paints a vivid tale of bright skies, rolling waves, and colourful yet ordinary neighbours.
