    1. These are awesome if you enjoy books like The Secret Garden or A Little Princess Libba Bray takes magic and mythology and makes them real in this incredibly intricate story world They re pretty girly, but they suck you right in Gemma Doyle s life is a constant adventure that doesn t let up for one second, and the characters are marvelous I recommend reading these over a summer break, because you aren t going to be able to put them down.

    2. Like the larger concepts explored including a woman s role in society, personal independence vs dependence, human condition of constant want, etc Dislikes slow read could have been one book instead of three , annoying first person narrative character, mocked Christianity

    3. I really enjoyed this trilogy It grabbed me almost immediately and kept me interested all the way to the end of the third novel The books are well written, the characters are richly drawn, and the plot moves quickly What can you ask for

    4. Not what I would have chosen but this was recommended by Grace And Grace knows good stories This trilogy follows a 16 year old English girl growing up in India who pines for life in England She experiences hidden family secrets that change her reality.

    5. i found it completely boring and tedious to read the only character that interested me was kartik, but he was killed off at the end so, i wouldn t recommend it to anyone seriously people, don t read this.

    6. Fun trilogy They kept my attention My only qualm is the lesbian issue one of the young girls has, nothing graphic but not appropriate for younger audiences.

    7. I love this series It s very good butn be boring and some moments I did, however, not like the ending of The Far Sweet Thing I wished it would have ended differently.

    8. I loved this trilogy Highly recommend it I love the feminist undertones and exploration of sexuality Well written.
