    1. This is one of those vintage romances that doesn t stand up at least for me not because of the plot, but because of the writing style where the author uses 30 words when one or two would do We aren t even introduced to the lawyer hero until the third chapter. The plot is very soap operaish The married OW s husband threatens to name the heroine s trainwreck twin brother in a divorce suit The hero is the OW s lawyer and good friend and he manages to patch things over Hero and heroine marry soon aft [...]

    2. This is a different kind of romance but strangely enthralling h is very sheltered upper class girl who lives on big estate and has a twin brother who is utterly spoiled by their mother Brother has an affair with wild married woman and gets named in divorce petition H is the solicitor who gets the brother out of situation and decides he wants to marry the h who is head over heels for him Unfortunately, wild other woman is also the woman the H proposed to at one time The h hates this woman after h [...]

    3. After reading GIB twice I still felt this was a very far fetched plot How does the hero expect to maintain a marriage when he is away most of the time I did not understand the heroine going along with the H spending so much time with his former lover She could have gone with him especially since she was a new bride Britt s heroes are always so masterful in how they treat the heroines and it always seems that the heroines are an after thought that are picked up at the convenience of the hero Sure [...]

    4. I pretty much excuse doormat heroines in vintage because they are usually younger than most modern heroines I enjoyed the story with all the OW drama because in these books they are never sleeping with them This had lots of angst and baby drama too.

    5. There was a whole lotta emotion and tragedy in this novel All together, it kind of made me sad Eventually we received the HEA but it still felt uncompleted because it didn t balance all the loss present in this novel.
