    3. The Artemis Fowl books really are perfect for a quick, easy read Which is good, because I ll be doing the twenty four hour readathon tomorrow, and I really don t want to get burnt out on reading The Arctic Incident develops Artemis as a sympathetic figure, having left behind his attempts to exploit the People the fairies , and feeling some remorse over how he handled things in the first book He s also focused on rescuing his father, missing for two years, convinced he s still alive Meanwhile, t [...]

    4. SPOILER FREE review if you will not open spoiler tags Remember, it s always darkest before the dawn OVERVIEWArtemis Father was missing for almost two years He went missing when the Russian Mafia attacked him for the the reason view spoiler because his father was about to run business in Russia And The Mafia couldn t bear it and they attacked him when he was coming in Russia hide spoiler But his father was found by Russian Mafia, alive, even after the attack which was kind of stupid to me and the [...]

    5. For me, as an adult, the Artemis Fowl series is a guilty pleasure.I get a kick out of Artemis, smart beyond reason youth he is, and like the relationship between him and his bodyguard, Butler.Throw in the fantastical underworld of fairies, dwarfs, and other magical creatures and there are a lot of options for a fast paced, fun story. In the second installment, Artemis finds himself in boarding school now that his mother has recovered and begun to assert rules on the boy.Not to be stopped, Artemis [...]

    6. There s nothing that attracts me , than a genius without the glasses Especially if the geek looks like this For those who don t know this hottie, he s Chuck Zachary Levi However, if the geek involved is 13 years old and is a criminal mastermind, plus fantasizing that he would grow up faster than a normal human being would, well thats just plain pedophilia Well it s not actually that bad, if you ll become an instant billionaire and with him you could rule the world together But still it s no excu [...]

    7. Eoin Colfer has done it again I loved the sequel to Artemis Fowl How could I not, being a combinations of things that fascinate me Russia, antiheroes, faery, and cold environments arctic North Pole Yes I was very much enjoying this book. The action is great, tempered with the laugh out loud humor Artemis is up to his usual machinations, and exhibiting his snarky sense of humor, often at the expense of elder authority figures I don t normally like precocious, know it all kids, but something about [...]

    9. My second foray into the world of Artemis Fowl was another quick, fun adventure This book is a true sequel to the first with the continuation of the story arc of Artemis lost father Once again this ends up involving the fairy world including Artemis and Butler s first trip down below.Engaging from the first page this book has a great pace that kept me turning or should I say clicking through the pages I like the way that Colfer doesn t talk down to his readers This is a children s book but is wr [...]

    10. I completely fell in love with the first book in this series, however this second iteration has fallen short of the mark set by the first. It s by no means a bad book, and I enjoyed the view point of Holly Short in this than the first However, my love for the first came from Artemis himself, and in this oneSo, a big issue with writing very, very smart characters, is that they have to BE very, very smart This came across beautifully in the first book Artemis managed to outsmart everyone else in a [...]

    11. So the second book of the ARTEMIS FOWL It was a pretty light, funny read actually. This time the focus is on the faerie people And Artemis is basically on the subplot, but its important nevertheless It was really funny to see how captain short cope up with artemis and his body guard p Looking forward to actions in the next books.

    12. BOMBARDA SEI TUTTO.Also non so come si possano leggere questi libri da bambini e non restarne profondamente traumatizzati Colfer writes some fucked up shit, sometimes.

    13. So i started this series with one thought in mind a 12 year old as a master of crime interesting.i liked book 1, but this second book is even better. So Artemis Fowl is cold and hardened on book 1, but it was good to see him in a different light on this sequel. He never gave up that his father is still alive He and Butler keep on searching and searching at last, a sliver of a clue came to them or rather, a ransom video it may terrify any kid, but not Artemis Fowl he was giddy, for this video only [...]

    14. I liked the first book of the series than this one I don t know, Artemis wasn t his usual self and the plot wasn t as interesting as the first one was I had fun reading it, but still, I had hoped for an improvement and ended up being a little disappointed I don t have a lot to say, I enjoyed reading The Arctic Incident but at the same time I didn t like it as much as I hoped I would Aside from the fact that I had some problems with the plot I mean, please, the russian mafia Pfft, come on, somet [...]

    15. Great fun on every page I put down this book with my left hand as I picked up The Eternity Code with my right

    16. We re being led by an idiot with a crayon Basically, one part of the book that totally make me laughed Some part of the wits and humor are so real, it s undeniable for you not to get knock out of it.I love how the plot takes us to explore about the People, how the alliance works on with different species to remind that the group once try to kill each other and now, help one another To remind you that deep beneath the layers of deviousness, you have a spark of decency Perhaps you could blow on t [...]

    17. IF ALIVE PLSE HLP IF NOT, WRNG NMBR.hey what s the discourse on age gaps in relationships where the 2 parties are different species with radically different life spans just curious no reason

    18. And, of course, we have fairy magic I get such a kick out of Artemis adventures Teaming up with fairy special ops, outwitting every adult who stands in his way he s a breath of fresh air This book finds him hinting for his presumed dead father But he has to make a deal with the fairies to get help in the arctic circle With Artemis who knows how this could turn out.

    19. From my blog Quill Caf In accordance with the FTC, I would like to disclose that I purchased this book The opinions expressed are mine and no monetary compensation was offered to me by the author or publisher. When Haven, the underground world of the fairies, is threatened and there is sign of human involvement, the LEP Lower Elements Police point fingers at the one human who keeps the knowledge of their existence Artemis Fowl, a thirteen year old criminal genius.Artemis has his own agenda to foc [...]

    20. Re reading Artemis Fowl and the Arctic Incident was once again fantastic This shouldn t come as a surprise but Eoin Colfer manages to enthrall me again and again with his books, no matter how many times I have read them. With re reading this book, I have noticed a few things, actually I noticed that Artemis definitely has a slightly softer side I m not sure if this is just me, but it s what I think He s humane in this book for sure, with wanting to rescue his father and building friendships wit [...]

    21. Reread because Artemis Fowl was one of my fave series and fave characters as a child and I just missed it all.

    22. 3.5 STARSI really wish I could have enjoyed this book As with the first book in the series, my sister and husband both loved it, but I could not really get into it It was maybe a three star read for me but am bumping it up half a star because I do feel that part of my trouble is because I listened to the audiobook and I think perhaps the short episodic format of the chapters jumping between scenes and characters often didn t work especially well with my relatively short commutes I kept getting [...]

    23. Surprise Surprise This was much better than the first in this series, Artemis Fowl The story, although less likely plausible, was better Artemis has matured some and now seems to fit the situation better This story was much funnier and action packed.I ll just pretend the first book was an epilogue, and will potentially continue on in the series, especially if they continue to be just as good as this one Way to step up to the task Eoin Colfer

    24. For being an Artemis book, this didn t really contain a lot of him, sadly Having said that, it was still an interesting story, and provided some laughs, some gasps and some situations to reflect upon The build up and the climax were rather delicious, and then we even got a second one, sadly, over a lot quicker than the first one There wasn t much of a resolution at all, which means I shall I have to read the next book series sooner than the gap between books one and two.

    25. This book continues to build upon the previous one Emotional side of Artemis is shown as he is ventured to rescue his father from the russia And there is a coup happening in the underground Action packed with a lot of character development Loved it.

    26. 9 10 Another fun filled fairy adventure from Eoin Colfer I do really love this series, they manage to be compelling, funny and have a convincing story all at the same time, something which a lot of YA lacks. This time Artemis is intent on rescuing his father from the clutches of the Russian Mafiya unfortunately along the way he is delayed by a goblin rebellion let by a mad pixie and a fairy out for revenge My favourite kleptomaniac dwarf makes a very memorable reappearance as The Grouch and there [...]

    27. The legend, the genius Artemis Fowl is back This time he here to do do good In the second book of the Artemis Fowl series The Arctic incident everyone s favorite villain is back.In this installation of the series Artemis attempts to rescue his father when he receives a message from the Russian mafia who have kidnapped him So Artemis prepares to go rescue his father but down in fairy world things aren t going so good. After Artemis successfully procured half of the Recon ransom fund in book one, s [...]
