    1. My library had only two of the five books of this series Remember and Reunion Remember wasn t so hot, but Reunion was better This series seriously overemphasizes the importance of physical beauty, which struck me as sadly superficial to be so hung up on surface values I was ambivalence about this book Much in the story felt soapish, juvenile, and often contrived and unrealistic Her adult characters are ridiculously immature, and I was repelled by adult Christians responding hysterically and rath [...]

    2. The Redemtpion series is wonderful There are so many true to life examples in them that they could touch and change anyone s lives I can t capture everything I feel about this series in mere words If I could put words on what my heart has read and is now digesting, it still wouldn t be sufficient.Even if you don t think you are a Karen Kingsbury fan, please reconsider this one time and read this series.I can t wait to go on to the Firstborn series and get food for my soul.

    3. I really, really love Ashley I love how fiercely protective she is of Landon and of Cole I love seeing how far she s grown with God since the beginning of the series She s such a woman of God now She is a great example for me to look up to.

    4. In this book all of the Baxter children return for a dinner It had been awhile since all of them had been together in one setting They are finally happy when they find out that their mother has cancer She will not be able to fight it off As they wait for a miracle, we see that they had a big secret They had had a child before marriage, but had given him up for adoption because they were too young He is a famous actor, but cannot find his biological parents He has tried many times, but always get [...]

    5. This is the fifth book in the series, but I have a feeling that it is not the end of Baxter family saga Each book in the series focuses on a different sibling and their problems, but none of the books is really a stand alone tale The story threads seem to continue into the following books In this final book, the matriarch of the family is tragically ill, and how she and the family cope with her sickness is the crux of the novel But there is a secondary story of a secret that the parents have bee [...]

    6. I loved getting an insight into the lives of John and Elizabeth Baxter, the mother and father of the Baxter family i have come to know and love through reading all the Baxter family books The previous books opened a window into each of their children s lives, so I really enjoyed finding out how the couple met, the troubles and trials they went through initially and how the Baxter family first got started I don t want to give too much away about the story line but this was THE most touching of th [...]

    7. I fell in love with the Baxter family from book 1 so obviously I m gonna love it Yes, so the books are a bit predictable, but who cares The message is so strong and it s so nice to see scripture in a fiction book, so you see it s not all fiction, because we know God is real

    8. This book was wonderful like the rest of the series but very difficult to read It was primarily about Elizabeth Baxter, mother and matriarch of the Baxter family, losing her battle with cancer Since I ve read the Sunrise series, I knew she was going to pass away, but struggled along with the family and never lost hope for a miracle I also noticed on the front cover of the book the grave stone in the Baxter s backyard If this is supposed to be Elizabeth s, next to the bench her and John would spe [...]

    9. I skipped three novels in the Redemption series since most of them were on waiting list in the library but this book gave a fair summary of what have transpired in the other novels I liked the story and the struggle, which is very deep and haunting I think Karen Kingsbury did well in doing a summary of the series but also hinted on the plot for the next coming series Since most of the character development were done in the earlier novels, I did feel there was a lack of serious engagement with th [...]

    10. Love the storyline Dealing with view spoiler terminal cancer hide spoiler and its effects on the family is not very common in Christian fiction, and it s well done I do feel there are a bit too many other storylines that the book jumps around between It felt like the main one was weakened by not having as much space as it could have But definitely a book I will re read And kudos to Kingsbury for not view spoiler tying it all up with a pretty little bow by having her miraculously healed As is poi [...]

    11. Months ago when I learned of Karen s new release, I decided to start at the very beginning and re read as many Baxter books before her new book releases I was able to read the entire Redemption series However I did struggle through the last 8 chapters of Reunion These chapters reflected a similar situation our family experienced about 4 years ago Reading these pages brought it all back In spite of the sadness, I did enjoy this book As a believer, I treasure how Karen incorporates faith and scrip [...]

    12. Worst book I ve read in a while Awful It seemed like she let a 4th grader write this book Did she think about how any of this sounded before she sent it off Does she even have an editor Weird contradicting details, although small I noticed a lot of this throughout the series but it was a lot worse in this book to the point where I struggled to even finish it It s like all the characters have some fairytale life Maybe some people like this type of literature but not me.

    13. I am never disappointed with Karen Kingsbury and the beautiful way she brings the stories together It was sad to have Elizabeth die but the experiences in her books mirror the experiences we encounter in our walk in our own lives She truly has a gift for writing, allowing the Christian thoughts and scriptures to work their way throughout Yes, I cry, and it take me longer to read through the tears but they are good tears I loved the story

    14. This was my second read of this series The first time through I truly struggled with Reunion due to the subject matter This time I was prepared for the tears and still struggled a bit, but was able to see through the sad parts to the message of the book I ve also finally learned my lesson never read a Karen Kingsbury book without a box of tissues handy

    15. Reunion Karen KingsburyJust finished the last book in the Redemption Series.I m so sad about Elizabeth and now I have a question Will Danye ever meet his family Wow Karen I m addicted too your books Thank you once again for your incrediable talent GOD BLESS YOU

    16. This book is the conclusion of the Redemption Series, and what an ending it was This series has been at times very difficult emotionally to read, but well worth it The heartbreak this family has faced and their unyielding faith is very inspiring.

    17. Oh my word.I cried some with every book but this one was hard Lots of crying uncontrollably I wish had happened with the secret and time was possible to spend on it and the family reaction.

    18. Sad but such a good book Hope the kids get to meet their brother in the next book This series is so uplifting

    19. This was a wonderful book So far the saddest book from the Baxter series If you are a softy like me, definitely have tissues handy Can t wait to read the next one

    20. Elizabeth is the matriarch of a large family, a large, sprawling family, full of love, laughter, and faith We have watched several of Elizabeth s children find love, struggle with their faith, and go through both amazing tragedies and triumphs, but in this book it s Elizabeth s turn to go through one of the largest and most heart wrenching trials of her life as she comes face to face with a deadly cancer diagnosis. In the light of this diagnosis, as Elizabeth and John begin to reflect on their li [...]

    21. Loved this series, but this one was a hard read for me for personal reasons Still, I m loving this family and the way it always feels like coming home when I read it.

    22. In this final book of the series, Elizabeth Baxter, the matriarch of the family, gets very sick Her cancer that had been in remission for 10 years came back aggressively She had a double mastectomy and underwent chemo treatments, but after all that, her tests came back showing that the cancer was still in her body And it was bad, it was all over, in her lungs, pancreas and liver She only lived until a week after Ashley s July wedding to Landon Ashley got good news and found out that she did not [...]

    23. Reunion is the 5th book in the Redemption series. In the beginning of the book, Elizabeth finds a lump The cancer is back Elizabeth needs to have a mastectomy the following day They decide to have a family dinner to tell the children but things happen that are so joyful that Elizabeth and John almost decide to not tell the children Kari and Ryan are pregnant and Ashley finds out that she is not HIV positive and her and Landon are going to get married in July John and Elizabeth decide that they wa [...]

    24. The 5th and final book in the series and like the others it was wonderful I started crying at the end of the first sentence on the very first page and and all thru the book What wonderful life lessons this series has and these books have touched my heart and really made me think The Baxter family is like so many other families and the trial and joys they experience Elizabeth the mother learns her cancer has returned and she is terminal Telling the children is so hard John her husband of 35 years [...]

    25. First of all, I feel like I must leave a warning that this book is very depressing and kind of a struggle to get through Also, I think the introduction of the Dayne Matthews character was not very well done I know that the author needed a segue into another series with a character that the reader would presumably feel attached to, but I think that his storyline was pretty much the most boring part of this book and I found myself not really caring too much what became of him however, I have the f [...]
