    1. It contains historical concepts, as well as theoretical and technical too Synthesis, clarity and completeness are the qualities of this book, which is a pleasure to read You can learn a lot from it, especially if you know nothing about theory and techniqueLet s say it s a useful introduction, but I think that, as an introduction, it is complete it touches all the major and fundamental concepts.

    2. A pretty useful book for people who read Freud in a theoretical, cultural studies or philosophical direction to get a sense of how people actually practice psychoanalysis today You don t have to believe in Freud to learn something from it.

    3. This is an introductory book but it seems to me that it offers a fairly comprehensive account of psychoanalysis and I found it both interesting and helpful It shows the range of views that exist and related them to each other in interesting ways.
